Yep. Worst one yet. I actually found Rift to be loads of fun, contrary to the popular opinion. Being the carrier and obliterating entire teams at the same time was a rush. Meanwhile... this "new" gametype... is a recycle of my least favorite mode in CoD... I'm not even a big fan of CoD to begin with. But it's better than Battlefield, I'll give it that. All this mode does is bring back the old British front-line style of war. Shoot until one side drops, then pick up crests.
Edit: I forgot to mention the sheer amount of spawn killing in this mode. It's like the gametype was specifically designed to place players next to the opposing team on spawn. As you fade into existence, you are shotgunned instantly.
Edit: After 25 matches, I got a piece of gear above 150. It's sad that excited me :)
Edit: After grinding all the way to level 5, I can assure everyone that the tables are broken. I popped a few 3oC (2-3 per win, and 1 on a losing game) and got a single exotic my entire time playing. No weapons dropped above 152 (only two weapons dropped at 152, all others were 150 or below), and most all gear dropped at 140. Absolute worst time ever. I'm usually VERY lucky when it comes to loot. This Iron Banner event is broken beyond repair. Glad I don't have to do it anymore this week. When Shotguns beat EVERYTHING at close to mid range, there's an issue. Apparently, as long as you line the shot up, you can shoot someone down a hallway with one lol. To be fair, near the end of the grind I started using a fusion rifle (I'm sorry everyone) and it worked out great as I'd charge it up before cornering and kill the shotgunners. But it still seems to be the case that sliding increases a shotguns effective range by 2-3 times.
