So Iron Banner just came out yesterday and a lot of guardians are having some trouble with winning matches. I have been hearing from a lot of people that they do not like the supremacy playlist.
I have had no trouble with getting wins, yesterday my clan literally went from rank 1 to rank 5 without one loss. Honestly the key to our success was that we stayed together and literally '"wolf packed" around each of the maps that we played. So what i recommend to you guys that are grinding out wins in the Iron Banner is too stick around other players on your team and do not push the enemy by yourself. The reason why sticking together works so well in supremacy is because even if you do get killed, there will be a teamate right next to you to deny your crest. Without collecting crests, the other team cannot score and bingo, you will eventually win the game.
I know this might be difficult for people becasue its a habit to rush the enemy. Trust me, stay back with a group, you will be a more effective player. Also, if you are a solo player, it might be difficult to stick around with a group because there is no communication and people are probably running around everywhere. Just LFG a Iron Banner group, there is plenty of people that are trying to get a group together.
I hope this helped you out a little bit. Good luck in the Iron Banner Guardians.

So you are the cause of this wolf pack style of play huh? I don't like you.

They key to winning is finding people to play with that know what they are doing. I queued up solo yesterday, had a match where I got 58 points myself and we lost. How does that even happen...

1 Reply'"wolf packed" is a good strategy, however hang too close to each other all the time you become open to big multi kills from supers. A few groups would do this and I would take them out with my hammers, giving my team a huge bump in crests. You need to have a few hang back just in case.

Step 1: Grab a Striker Titan Step 2: Grab a twilight garrison Step 3: equip a sidearm, preferably FWC one Step 4: jump high and dive at enemies while filling their faces with gunfire. Step 5: receive hate mail from stormcaller with shotguns

Or just use blink and shotgun like everyone else

Not playing with blueberry teammates

How to win iron banner: shotguns

I don't care about winning. I just score enough kills and crests once in a while to not be last and then dance for most of the match while watching TV. Then get my rewards. Up 7 light so far.

The best way to beat your enemies in Iron Banner is to take the opponents special ammo creates and then super there heavy weapon create. You will do your team a great service taking away your enemies shotguns and snipers.

16 RepliesThats my problem. I can never find a team that will not judge me on my stats and what weapons i use. I also enjoy playing solo because i get to t-bag try hard clans. Why? Because i am not a try hard who enjoys ruining games :)

Gee were u in a fire team? Maybe that is why u won so much?
-
My only problem is they broke iron banner by re enabling the level advantage, that was the worst thing they could've done

1 ReplyAll you had to say was use a shotgun lol

Redbarring with UDP Unicorn and a Lag switch is sure fire hit these days. LOL

Wolf packing is fine but don't huddle together so you all get supered down together. In the first few minutes it is ok but when the time comes for average players supers to mature be more cautious
-
Honestly even running solo I was on the losing side a few times but it wasn't even that bad. Now I do miss running things with a clan like back in my big halo days, but I'll get over it.

I played against a team that was "wolf packing" on widows court and i can confirm it is a great strategy. The entire enemy team hunkered down in the building across the alley from where C flag would be, and we couldn't do anything about it. There was a point where i had a quad with fist of havoc and immediately on spawn i got a triple with a grenade, those big groups of kills went on for the entire game but because we couldn't get in to grab crests or push them out they won through just waiting us out.

2 RepliesI love supremacy! I'm a damn dirty shotgunner so it plays into my play style well. Been abusing people with Uni (yes it's still sick after the nerf) and Saladin's Vigil.

7 RepliesOn the plus side, the loot is pretty good so losing isn't that much of a big deal
-
2 RepliesDown side to wolf packing it is one super takes you all out, that's always my worry.
-
1 ReplyPeople don't like it because the game encourages shotgun and other specials. Most of us want a game that rewards skill. Also, bounties reward kills not the capture of crest, another mistake by Bungie.

I stand behind on your "wolf pack" technique. one game I played, the WHOLE team would run around the map. we didn't know each other, we weren't in fire teams, we didn't have mics out, we just felt that doing this would grant victory. tip, when you are running in the pack; use super and go in the front. chances are your teammates will do the same.

I agree. Most games where my teammates all want to lone wolf it we lost. The games where the team sticks together tends to be my winning games. The best are the games where my team is losing. My team hunkers down and the lead gets smaller and smaller. The enemy team panicks, they begin to lone wolf it and try to flank and we end up beating them by 20 points or so.
