Why Do Fusion Rifles Piss People Off?
I have been changing up builds and trying new weapons out lately. I have never once gotten hate mail in the Crucible until this last week when I was trying out my Hitchhiker FR4. I have had probably 5 or 6 messages over about 5 days along the lines of "gratz on being able to use a fusion scrub" lol it's pretty funny really. Do you pro fusioners endure this too? haha :'D

2 RepliesIm kinda sad that fusions are my second most used special. 18K for shotguns. (Thank the massive fusion nerf and the HoW era) then fusions at 14K. I have been using them alot now since their buff and sometimes i get triples or split quads in pvp. And snipers at 11k and side arms at 5k even tho im quite effective with side arms

I love my fusions in crucible but have never had hate mail - I'm not that good... But I think people just get really salty when they see their guardians get disintegrated. [spoiler]ha ha ha love that![/spoiler]

I never used to get hatemail. A few months back I switched to fusion grenade sunsinger and plan c. Now I frequently get hatemail.

11 RepliesNot sure. It's a kind of mean weapon and an evil act. Player hiding behind something and charging. You hear the charging and think "no you're not gonna get me with that shit." Fusion rifle player popping out of cover to insta kill you. If he misses he pops back behind cover as fast as possible and does the same hide and charge shit again. It's kinda annoying. If a fusion rifle player does that with me I'm just gonna throw a fusion 'nade in his face and good bye. Fusion for the fusion player.

I used FRs a good bit a couple of weeks ago. Never got hatemail for it. I don't really get hatemail in general though. Kinda wish I would.

I have also started using high impact fusion rifle's and i have been preaching them ever since. They can almost stop anything. Get the one from the vendor if that's not the one your using, and darkblades spite is really great too.

I've used them since Vanilla, but I couldn't get one that catered to my style until I got SSP in HoW. Had Icarus, HH, and skip rounds in the middle column. Helped me complete the thorn bounty for void kills in 2 days

3 RepliesFusion rifles aren't meta. So a lot of people have no idea how to counter them, or how to account for them. Especially when Plan C or a good roll on one of the Omolon FRs can reach out and OHK someone at mid-range. Someone who spams a FR instead of using their primary is really annoying. But FRs are a LEGITIMATE counter to "aggressive" snipers and Titan-skating shotgunners. Especially given how long the primary weapon TTK is in this game.

You want real salt? I had some guy telling me to go cut myself, bleed a lot in a sink and then dump a toaster in a bathtub whilst I'm in it... only because I went to a 5 person wipe with my reactive reload sidearm. Some people just need to chill the hell out and take gaming less seriously. Also no scope bodying someone with a NLB and following up with a melee makes them really salty too.

Yeah haha recently switched to a sidearm because of the roll i have on my hunter, but i used my thesan with max stability/rangefinder/hot swap. Cross map kills haha that thing got me a lot of hate mails x)

I love em, it's always frustrating to get killed by one though because the majority of the time it's a OHKO. Does anyone here have any tips for a queensbreaker? I love how it feels.

I normally get positive mail for using a fusion, only salt I got was from a BD when I shut him down twice in his super.

When using telesto in banner, it has to piss people off, especially when you just run by them, fire, and never stop running, lol I've got a nice ashravens light and thesan as well, can be beasts on right map. I say "use em if ya got em"

Lol Ik how u feel. I have bad stats but I don't teabag and I still get hate mail, even more so when I'm using my no land beyond which makes no sense.

4 RepliesI must be hanging around in the wrong parts of the crucible. Even when I dominate a match and dance after kills whilst using some rubbish combo like a slow charge fusion and a slow ROF scout I still don't get hate mail... Just the occasional GG. I'm sad.

Because there are weapons in the game that aren't balanced. The only way to balance the game is to nerf Fusion Rifles.
