Can't login to Destiny on PS4, characters are gone in companion app and on bnet, DTR says player doesn't exist. What happened to my account???

PLEASE NOTE THIS ISSUE OCCURRED WELL BEFORE THE MAINTENANCE WINDOW!
So I was getting back to Destiny after quitting for more than two months and suddenly experienced issues with logging in. After repeatedly getting Tapir errors I decided to check bnet. Somehow it took ages to login and when I finally was logged in I couldn't check my characters and stats. I checked the Destiny companion app and also no stats and characters to be found. I checked DTR and it says that my PSN did not exist. However, my characters stats are still visible on DTR, I still have all my Destiny trophies on PSN. What happened to my account? I have not been banned, I have never cheated. It looks like my account has been deleted, deactivated or whatever :S

I've tried to login to bnet, companion app and destiny on PS4 with my brothers account and everything worked fine! Please tell me my account is fine

I have the same issue - Can't login to Destiny on PS4, characters are gone in companion app .. Error Message - This system is currently offline. Hopefully it is all corrected by 4:00 pm EST.. Wanted to finish up the Nightfall on my wifes charcter ( Titian ) and my 3 charcters ..

It's just maintenance my friend, all will be right in time. So keep your head up, and a stiff upper lip.

Unfortunately there is not much to be done for us to help you until maintenance is complete since we can only troubleshoot when we have access to the game world. While this may have started before maintenance began, you will need to wait until after it is over to double check. Tapir means that Destiny may have been offline for some time and then Bungie needed to perform maintenance on it which is what is happening now.

It's like you don't want to hear the solution to your problem. WAIT UNTIL THE MAINTENANCE IS OVER. From there, if its all still gone, then bring this up.

5 RepliesI can see your characters and stats on DTR, so I'm guessing this is just an issue related to the maintenance happening today across the game consoles and the website/app. Wait until the maintenance is done (tomorrow to be safe) and then try again. If it isn't back, definitely post again on the help forum.

1 ReplyDude give me a break. If youre on these forums then the ribbon saying "were doing maintenance today" was there. Go back and read it. Dont expect to play destiny for a while.
