honestly i can't see it.. i have played in fairly successful metal/grind bands for 10+ years.. with a bunch of albums tours festivals etc..
alot of people i know are djs and my opinion is that they just mash up radio songs.. even the metronome gives you indicators for timing changes which results in minamal brain activity for the user...
is there something im missing??

They're not even close.

Wait Deej can play a instrument?

>Implying being a musician means anything
-
Yes, no doubt.
-
Dudes that can scratch and beat juggle with vinyl, yes. Twats at clubs or "cdj's" hell no. They have programmes that pick songs with the same bpm and all they have to do is slide the fader. It's pointless.
-
Dj's have some kind of talent and skill in music. Sounds like a musician to me.
-
Depends. Do you mean DJ as in the guys who just play music in clubs?
-
Depends what you define as a DJ...
-
Yes. However, you can argue that they're just bad musicians.
-
EDM producers: Yes DJs: No
-
Like a disk-jockey at a party? If so, no.
-
Producers are, djs are not.

If theu just DJ, then they are not musicians, producers on the other hand...
¡Viva México!
Is itunes DJ a musician? No? There's your answer
-
No, they're more like production and editing
-
Is this even a real question? NO!
-
A dj just plays songs through a speaker at party's right? Yeah that's not a musician

This answer your question?

1 ReplyEdited by Nerin: 9/6/2016 2:15:21 AMYeah depends on what kind of DJ... But just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's music. Not saying I listen to it 24/7 but give them some credit.
