I can't emphasize this enough. Grimoire progress absolutely shouldn't be obtained through private matchmaking. No other game allows progress in custom matches because it promotes boosting, so why should Destiny be any different?
This is going to completely destroy leaderboards, legitimate KD's/wins, and legitimate kills/medals earned in the Crucible.
On behalf of the Grandmasters of Grimoire, I'd like to ask Bungie to change this. We're a relatively small group that has earned our way to the maximum grimoire score, and I'd hate to see all the effort we put into our Crucible wins (Rumble requiring the most effort) to end up being for nothing.
We hope that one day there will be a reward for reaching Grimoire milestones and any form of boosting would ruin the uniqueness of said items. I hope this message is seen by the devs at Bungie, and I hope action is taken.

2 RepliesOnly dummies boost u think 5 ppl gonna play until every one gets a 100 wins in rumble first guy gets his 100th win. So n so has left fireteam seriously only idiots gonna actually I do that
-
2 RepliesBut do we have a "real" proof that's gonna count for grimoire ? Maybe it was a mistake ? I mean it doesn't make sense at all, so I wouldn't be surprised it that was just a mistake in a news.

18 RepliesLol someone who cares about a number in a video game xD Where is #satire ?
-
Dude u ain't even max, so what are u complaining about!!!
-
3 RepliesI seriously agree. I didn't grind 100 wins in all original game modes just to see some lazy shits group up and feed the other team wins. I could care less about kd they will suck just as much as they always have, but bungie this is totally going to make boosting viable, while your at it make rumble eligible for 6 man fire teams.

11 RepliesNo one gives up a -blam!- about your grimiore score. Seriously not a single person. You sound like the old ghally elitists crying over xur. If you feel good about it, great. Play the game for you. Don't worry about other people. You -blam!-s make me sick.

2 RepliesStupid nerd.

Edited by WormChi: 9/2/2016 7:20:24 AMI don't have a Fat Titan other wise I'm nearly max.
Even If I was I wouldn't give a fûck.
5 RepliesLol, no one cares. It's just lore dude, not a big deal. KD is the same really, it doesn't really represent skill. I've got a terrible KD from boosting friends through thorn in year 1 and chaperone through year 2... Boosting has always existed and we still do it to help friends obtain things they couldn't get otherwise. Don't be elitist, especially with a game.

1 ReplyI wouldent worry its actually not that easy 2 get 5 other ppl to let you win 100 times think about it and most of the ppl who are saying they will milk it are missing things which may never return ie. Srl, festival of the lost the wolves in year 1 etc

11 RepliesWho even cares about a virtual number next to your name?

8 RepliesHow does this affect you?

Edited by Luis: 9/2/2016 5:35:47 AM
Please. Half the 100 win rumble players get their wins from going into classic and boosting with a fireteam. Grimoire is meaningless and I have a 5k grimoire.
h3llbilly

4 RepliesThis is what you sound like: People used to have to handwash their clothes and hang them on clotheslines; now we have washing machines and dryers?! It devalues all the hard work of past generations!1! Now when I see people with clean clothes, I can't be sure if they put in as much time and effort as my grandma did. My grandma had to scrub and grind and git gud and overcome her frustrations. Now people just toss their clothes in a machine and have fun!!1! Seriously, I thought the Lighthouse and hardmode raids were for the elitists. At least you actually get rewards from that and not just a number to say, "Hey, look at how much time I've spent grinding! Too bad it's going to take you 10 years because you have school/work/family and suck at 3v3 and Rumble!" I'd much rather win some and lose some while having fun with friends in private matches than getting salty dealing with sweaties and laggers just to get some numbers in a game. Congratulations to you for overcoming all that, but grimoire isn't exclusive endgame content and should be reasonably obtainable.

8 RepliesOne day I will find out why everyone has a problem with Rumble wins.... #TitanMasterRace
-
Your post would have more validity if people actually got something for max grimoire. Maybe one day bungie will decide to reward yall for that and if they do then private matches should definitely not count towards achieving that.

Edited by HAS N0 PRIMARY: 9/2/2016 4:15:05 AM-blam!- me!! I've wasted so many times in rumble! Geez I forgot that I'm logged whit my second profile lol

4 RepliesI agree. I'm 10 away from max. I finished my doubles up last week and only need 14 more rumble wins. I wish I would have payed attention to grimoire when I first started playing and noticed the patrols introduction card with 250 special target kills. Ugh. That shiznit is a grind!

Grim score has no in game benefit. Therefore it doesn't matter

4 RepliesWe'll kdr not a thing when roi is out now it again with Elo lol.

Idk man I had 62 days played on call of duty mw2 and 26 of those days were free for all private matches which never counted. Trust me man I'm a grimore whore aswell and I'm a little dissapointed about it too, maybe they should only do wins not kills or maybe the other way around not sure.

22 RepliesI only read the title of your post, in fear of my IQ dropping further. Grimoire is pointless and a waste of time. Does it mean you're a better player? Do you gain anything from it? Does it give you any form of an advantage? Negative. It's like collecting Pokemon. Even if you collect them all, you're still a tard in a trench coat that only a mother could love. You're post is of no value dude, nobody cares.
