Is a 3DS worth getting?
So Im considering getting a 3DS (in case you couldn't tell), and I want to know if it would be worth it. I mainly want it so I can play games such as Fire Emblem, Smash 4, and Pokemon (and possibly some Zelda game, but I havent looked into those).

I own a 3DS for the sole purpose of playing fire emblem, smash and Pokemon so yes, I would say it's worth it lol

I reckon it would likely last longer than a 2DS, which is the cheaper alternative if you're low on cash and don't care about 3D at all. Note that a New 3DS is supposed to run some games a little bit better because of its improvements. And if you care about the 3D, the newer model displays it better as well.

I got a 3ds for 100 used. Got all those games except fire emblem and I don't regret it at all.

If you're asking this question then no it's not worth it because you can't convince yourself that you want to play Nintendo's titles bad enough to buy their console. You're best off looking at the gameplay of a few games that you're looking to investing your time in and see if the quality of the games are up to your standards so you can make an educated decision for yourself.

Edited by Murph Tha Smurf: 8/25/2016 1:02:26 PMEither 3DS or 2DS because it's so much cheaper. The only thing you really lose is the folding function because, ask anyone, no one uses the 3D. Also, I recommend Ocarina of Time if you go for Zelda. It's basically what gave the title it's name.

3 RepliesDefinitely. You can either get a 2DS for $70, or a 3DS XL for cheap. Plus, the 3DS library is superb.
