Exotic sword quest
I'm currently going for the exotic sword quest on my hunter, I picked the solar sword and I'm on the Essential elements quest, Im trying to get the solar ability kills, if I use solar weapon will those count towards the quest? Ty

Solar weapons won't count, but here's a couple ideas; Patrol the moon (obviously) with Gamblers Dagger (grants a second throwing knife) and the perk in the throwing knife skill tree that recharges your throwing knife on precision kill. From here, you have two options. First; Equip achlyophage symbiote, as it increases your golden gun shots from 3 to 4 (IT SHOULD BE 5 or 6, BUNGIE, FIX THE SHIT), and hope for the best. Second; Equip spine of the young ahamkara, as it grants you a second tripmine. I'd suggest running with a gun that has Army Of One so when you've depleted all of your abilities, you can get them to cool down faster. If not, run Monte Carlo and a side arm or shotgun with Grenadier, as you can favor one ability over the other at any given point. Hope this helps.

Infinite Throwing knives, max strength, monte carlo. Amd go to the dark beyond and farm it for 20 mins

To get the solar kills you have to het kills with your sun breaker class so grenades melee (when it's full) and super I did the arc one with my hunter on alakule part

I think crucible kills count, and for significantly more than kills on minions of the darkness... I may be wrong though.

Ok you're gonna need to use either solar grenades or solar super, it's the fastest way you're gonna get solar ability kills, if it's on your hunter then blast through with golden gun and whatever grenades you like, maybe throwing knives work, I can't remember that though...

No the sword kills won't work. Only your throwing knife and solar grenades bro. Just do prison of elders it'll be easier in there

If you're going to farm kills, you should probably go to either the dark beyond or the venus "loot cave"(Don't know what people call it nowadays).

ATTENTION I HAVE A TIP Ok now I have ur attention. If u have ur sword, swing around and use up all ur ammo until u have ONE ammo left. Use the block button to use it up. Any kills with ur sword hilt will count as ability kills. I don't know why it works but it does. This is how I got mine done.
