Or are some ghosts good (Dinklebot), and others (you all know who I'm talking about), evil/hiding something?

1 ReplyThe ghosts seem to be blank canvases, they know very little about the traveller and therefore could have been made with that in mind, so who knows.
-
1 ReplyI learned today that alterior is not a word and is commonly mistakenly used in place of ulterior. Thx OP ✋

If the GF: Ghosts is anything to go by, there could be Ghosts of "lesser quality" who may lead Guardians astray. I'd like to meet or learn about the kind of Guardians they choose and what their stories are

1 ReplyWell if we know why the darkness hates the traveler then we'd probably be able to find out the travelers true nature. All I know is that the traveler is willing to sacrifice many civilizations to survive the darkness and flee if it knows it's protectors aren't strong enough, like it did to the Elenski. The only reason the Traveler is still here is because Rasputin knew it would bail out on us so he crippled it. The last thing the traveler did was send out its ghosts to create guardians as a bit of a failsafe to make sure it stays safe. So we will probably find out more when the traveler wakes up or if the Speaker decides to tell us the whole god damn story.

30 RepliesThe traveler is clearly not evil, makes little to no sense for it to be.

Except the Traveler isn't evil and it would require the retconning of quite literally everything in the lore for it even to become a plausible reveal.

That was the original story
or was it?
Dinklebot is the only ghost I trust.
-
Oh yeah. This new guy is shady as -blam!-. Only problem we had with dinklebot was his alcoholism. Notice that Oryx and all this shit showed up at the same time this new guy did?
-
The ghosts are fine, they know as much about the traveller as we do.

3 RepliesEdited by SnakePayne86: 8/8/2016 1:44:01 PMI suppose, but my ghost seems like a gentleman. There's been some hints that something is in control of the Traveler.

I do not really think that the Traveler is evil. So no, the ghosts do not have ulterior motives.
-
Depends on what you define as evil. An existence like the traveler is similar to us and ants. We don't always go out of our way to help/hurt them, but our actions can result as such.

12 RepliesThe traveller has literally done nothing evil It has only built and fled when conflict has arrived.

1 ReplyI could just imagine fighting an army of ghosts.
