Went into comp today and dealt with some prime idiots.
-A guy who left twice and his friend who tried to defend why he left
-A bastion, Torb and Reinhardt in a corner in ToA, then calling me salty when I called them out on it
-A guy and his friend throwing a hissy fit because one of them wanted to play D.va and I wouldn't switch (she's my main <3)
I guess when it comes to comp, the video above describes it pretty well.

Lile every other gaming community? Not surprised much

Any Shooter community is usually toxic.

2 RepliesGenji players love boasting even though Genji is for bad players. Pharah players that...well I think they know they're bad. Widowmakers that try to quick scope. Soldier 76 players that jump around the same amount of Genji players. Tracer players, period. Hanzo players that run behind walls over and over while spamming arrows. Zenyatta players that never stop tapping the discord orb button. What did I miss?

20 RepliesEdited by Zonda: 8/7/2016 8:37:03 AMI can't think of a single gaming community that's actually good/not toxic when you look at them as a whole tbh. -Halo 5's main playerbase drove lore fans off the Halo subreddit for no reason other than to spam unimpressive replays of their matches. Their community cartographers are also notorious for not actually doing their jobs and dismissing anybody who calls them out like some out of line child. They're also massive shills of Halo 5 and will use any means to try and shut down any complaints about the game. Dislike the absence of split screen and lack of content the game had for the first 6 months? Too bad, it was intentional and therefore somehow an invalid complaint in their eyes. -Super Smash Bros. players constantly hog setups for friendlies at major tournaments during bracket, slowing the play down. They're also notorious for calling your character cheap even if you beat them with a low tier. The subreddit of Smash is full of people still crying about their favourite shit-tier waifu being nerfed to not be broken anymore and will downvote en masse anybody who doesn't regularly masturbate over characters from the Fire Emblem and Bayonetta franchises. -The Fighting game community has similar issues to Smash on top of having an unhealthy amount of manchild drama and a fetish for making the weirdest porn possible out of characters from Street Fighter. It's essentially full of neets and Zanzibar rejects. As such, more than 20 seconds of sunlight is considered a lethal dosage to these people. They are also singlehandedly responsible for Jinmaster and Triforce's existence. They think that by bashing Smash players 24/7 it automatically separates the 2 communities from the issues they have in common. If you can survive more than 15 seconds on r/kappa without your eyes melting you're probably not a human being tbh. -League of Legends. Enough said. -CS:GO's online experience is basically League with guns. Players will often criticize other games' skill ceilings despite CS being made purely to go away from competitive arena shooters of the time. -Destiny is the single worst community currently in Gaming. They have held this title since the game launched, and were strong contenders for it from the moment the subforum went up in 2013. Not only do hey have a complete lack of comprehension on preventing their dumb discussion from leaking into places it doesn't belong, but every single member is so entitled and selfish they actually expect everybody in some position of authority to drop everything and immediately address the dire need of x gun's projectile doing 0.1 damage less than it should. Since the subforum went up, every discussion I tried to have about the game (mainly speculation and misgivings with it) has been derailed by some 11 year old who got really pissed and went on this whole spiel about being some successful businessman and how I'd 'be lucky to be half as successful' as them. It's pretty much a meme response lmao. Thanks to that community and Mod bias, this website is in the worst state it's been in since the Zanzibar forum was deleted. TL;DR: Gamers suck in general

There shouldn't be main characters in Overwatch, people like you destroy that game and the reason I'll never buy it.
-
Mains in overwatch just annoy me saw one guy with 78 hours with tracer

1 ReplyMe and my friends got rekt by an entire team playing reapers. These kids were just toxic and cancerous little shitheads. I would have found it funny if they weren't being so cancerous...

1 ReplyEdited by Rylor Threev: 8/8/2016 1:34:56 PM-There's always someone like that in every game -They're working as a team, if your team has enough brain mass they could figure out AS A TEAM how to deal with them, send reaper to distract and break their position, the rest of the team destroy bastion first then torbjorn, reindhart is a tank teamplayer, without a team he is nothing -You don't main characters, and even if you don't someone will always complain if you pick theirs
-
Yeaaaaaaaaa. ... I'm on a 6 lose streak sooooo go me?
-
I'm really feeling the Overwatch salt right now. I spent my last 10 bucks on loot boxes and the only noteworthy thing I got was Genji's nihon skin.
-
Any gaming community has its own toxicity caused by some of the players. Whether it's on the forums or in-game.

3 Replies"GUYS WHY THE -blam!- CAN'T ANYONE GET ON THE POINT? -blam!- ALL OF YOU!"
He was a Genji main and never flanked once.
-
That's just your typical general team comp focused multiplayer game behavior
-
Yea I don't understand why people get pissed in complete when you play a character you are good at and is your main Sure it can be their main too but if so you still picked it first I can see people getting pissed in quick play but not comp
-
5 RepliesAll PvP communites are toxic.... How are people still surprised by this shit?!
-
Their forum is full of 12 year olds, bellends who hate on the developers. It has got to be one of most toxic communities.
-
1) Pretty much every game's community has toxicity. 2) Sounds like you're salty about the Bastion/Torbjorn/Reinhardt combo.

Most times it is done for a satisfactory trolling session. - Bastion, Torb, rein are still better than Bastion, Torb, Rein, 3 of Symmetra's turrets and a portal in one corner. And I have taken them out - if someone plays that game with knowledge of which characters are apt for what situation it is possible to work around most things. - and why should anyone be bothered about what a stranger mught ask about. Most likely I'd just play a toon if it pisses someone off. I'm at 155 hours, 15+k Kills, 2.5 kdr, good hours distributed between characters other than Winston, Mercy n Ana. And Mei because she is my troll central go to easy mode toon. And yea every single game played solo and had fun. Meant to say play as you feel like. Absolutely disregard everyone else that do not match your perception of enjoyment. Do a lil bit or more of trolling. Profit?

EVERY community is toxic to a degree.
-
2 RepliesI would have thought that by now people would have come to the realization that every gaming community has some level of toxicity
-
Every community is toxic, it's the internet
-
Why does it matter if they were in a corner anyways? Two of those heroes have stationary turrets, and the other has a protective shield. And why main a character?
-
Edited by Nanye: 8/7/2016 8:23:05 AMUsually in comp for me I dont encounter that many toxic people. Only the odd one (Genji main on defence) who spam "Thanks!" if we lose a point.
Note: When I was a lower comp rabk the odd amount of people were really toxic, yet as I got nearer to 73 (my current MMR) people became really chill.
2 RepliesI had a guy message me 10 times to switch off of Genji because quote, "I'm a Genji main." Then he started sending it in all Caps. So I replied in all caps, "ME TOO." Then I gave him a chance to take Genji and he -blam!-ing missed it and some other guy took it. He then messages the other guy. He gets Genji on sudden death and says "Thanks!" in the game chat and the guy replies with "Understood" which is why I could tell he messaged him. He only got 40 seconds of Genjj time.
-blam!-ing idiot.
OW is awful tho.
