Remember the good ol' days when class items didn't have defense?
Seriously, who at Bungie thought that putting defense on class items was a good idea?
I want to be able to wear any class item that I choose. The ghost angel cloak, shattered vault cloak, and kellhunter's hood all are amazing cloaks. They were perfectly fine without defense, Stat boosts, or anything like that.
Same goes for any y1 content. Why would you make y1 content irrelevant when your game is desperately needing more content.
Edit: Let's get this trending so that hopefully someone at Bungie will see this.

Destiny had a very small amount of slots that factored into your attack/defense (light) for an RPG (I use that word lightly). It is good that we have a lot now. As a Warlock I don't mind my class items having defense. As a gamer I understand why Bungie left some gear in year 1. I would like to see a legacy version of the raids and Bungie tends to be hush hush on something like that so it may happen.

The easiest solution is to allow for transmogrification. That way we keep our stats but can look the way we want.

Agreed should remove defence value from class items, we have artefacts for that. Class items should be purely cosmetic with the exception of faction ones which should give a bonus to that faction. That way we can wear whatever we like, some of the blue ones look awesome but are completely useless.

I don't mind stat boosts. That extra few Intellect is always nice. It would be nice to wear whatever I wanted though.

Wish they'd get rid of defense on them as well as just throw artifacts in the trash. Theyre literally just jpgs with defense stats to make your grind all the more bullshity
