Example... When wearing the full set of taken gear you could get the trall teleport or any taken ability (only pve)
Full trials gear could let you pick 2 subclass ungrades in one slot. Eg, two upgrades for your super
People are complaining this would take away from customisation so my solution is vanity slots

I think if you wear full faction gear you should get a bonus to rep. Including vanguard, iron banner, and trials. It doesn't give a competitive advantage but gives a reason to use it. This can include an extra bonus for weapons. I have a full set of the three factions, one for each character because I like to rep who I'm with. But I switch it out for IB sometimes.

Full sets should give something. But nothing too strong.

1 ReplyOnly to a certaimt extent similar to raid gear...raid gear for pve perks and the trials/faction gear for pvp have pvp focused perks1

3 RepliesPsion Split. Everyone would quit this game

No, and I'll tell you why. Though it would be an achievement in terms of getting a full set it would also take the purpose of some exotics. Which you may say that it would be different because it would replace the essence of exotics, it would still take away the purpose. Exotics would either have to be superior due to the fact that a person would have to decide whether to pick an exotic perk or a armor set perk. That could lead to harder decisions that would just cause more issues in the community. It would also force Bungie to make more complete sets, like the exclusive set for playstation users, and that would cause completionists to get angry and in turn more conflict with the community. I however propose a different reward, shaders and emblems. Though xbox wouldn't get playstation specific armor sets for at least a year, it would be spun as an additional things for playstations. There is also the fact that balancing would be an easier task. It would reward the player and allow them to use the reward for other armor sets.

with some working yea sounds good

That'd be cool, a few RPGs I've played have something similar to that. Monster hunter comes to mind. Their armor sets have all sorts of abilities to unlock. Many have more than one ability per armor set

3 RepliesThe term you're looking for is: Set Bonuses. And yeah, that would be awesome, assuming they weren't OP.

Maybe a slight buff to int/dis/str

6 RepliesI believe so. Raid gear is pointless in the raid, it doesn't offer anything else that our other, infusable, better rolled gear. Full raid gear might provide boosts to intellect, discipline, and strength, beyond the tier limits. Not a very good idea (my idea), but at least let us have a relevant perk that actually offers something to make use think, "Maybe I shouldn't wear this exotic, for that perk or boost."

3 RepliesJust like you should be able to have all 3 exotic weapons from 1 foundry at a time and have a bonus.. Ex. Last word and the chaperone. You could get a bonus which is maybe faster reload idk.

Go play division lol Their system really sucks

1 ReplyThey have this in Fallout, if all pieces of a set of power armor are painted the same color you get boosts to Strength, Luck, Charisma, whatever. It works in Fallout, but I don't see it happening in Destiny. Inevitably, it would just be another variable for people to complain about.

10 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 7/18/2016 10:03:58 PMThis may work in Diablo where the main emphasis is PvE, but since Bungie sold their soul to the PvP players, set bonuses are a massive liability. TF2 tried set bonuses years ago and they had to be removed from the game because Valve couldn't get it right. Maybe if it was something PURELY cosmetic like a special effect or some minuscule bonus in PvE, then that would work, but something that gives a notable advantage in PvP combat would be too much for the dynamics of Destiny's metagame.

1 ReplyIt's a cool idea if done correctly, but if the abilities were like your examples, it would be a bit too much

1 ReplyIt shouldn't ever give a bonus that effects gameplay. Just a cosmetic or rank bonus.

1 Reply+1 armour, recovery or agility. +20(?) intellect, disc, or strength. Rng based, not "set" based.

1 ReplyMy solution: Go play division.

3 RepliesSounds good. I would also like the option to equip 2 exotic guns if I'm not wearing any exotic armour and vice versa.
