Any middle-aged casuals want to play from time to time?
Even though the title sounds like the headline of an adult personal ad, I'd like to find some laid-back Guardians to patrol the cosmos with on occasion. I didn't post this in Recruitment because I'm not looking for specific activities, or a limited number of players. I'm simply looking to bolster my amount of gaming buddies and my exposure to all in-game activities, and to enrich my Destiny experience as a whole. I did play with my step son and a couple of his friends for a while as I was leveling up. I'd played DCUO with them in the past, and had a fairly good time. But when it comes to Destiny, he and his gang can be some real pricks. They're the ultra-serious types who will moan and complain if you die, kill steal when you're trying to complete a bounty just to show how they can kill everything in the room before you can get a hit in, complain that if you're having a bad day, that you're holding things back, not revive you, etc. I don't need any of that. I work all day and play in the evenings and on weekends to escape the BS of everyday life. Sure, I'm not the best at this game. I'm 41 and its my first FPS experience. And my first FPS PVP, when it comes to the Crucible. I'm not visiting the Lighthouse anytime soon. And that's okay. But I am Improving, and having fun. I'd like to continue having fun. But I'd also like some people to have fun with while enjoying Destiny. So if you're a down to earth Guardian who feels the same way I do, and has a good attitude toward having a good time, then feel free to reply, shoot me a friend request on PS4, or just say hello.

I'm with you buddy, at 43, I've been a gamer for 35 years...could pay my mortgage off with the quarters I poked into a Donkey Kong machine alone. I'm XBox 360 or I'd add you in a heartbeat. I love crucible, I suck miserably, but I have fun. I've never done a raid, kings fall, etc. so it be nice to have other "noobs" to experience it with instead of mucking it up for all the serious players.

Feel free to add me on PS4 if you like, since your post does a good job of describing me for the most part. I suck compared to many of the FPS online playing Gods, but I have fun doing it. I'm usually on most evenings and a bit more on the weekends mainly doing bounties or daily stories, but am up for anything. Playing with mathmaking randoms has usually gone one of two ways for me. It's a fun, rewarding experience and I finally get to do some stuff a solo player has problems completing......Or it's like herding cats. YMMV
