Any middle-aged casuals want to play from time to time?
Even though the title sounds like the headline of an adult personal ad, I'd like to find some laid-back Guardians to patrol the cosmos with on occasion. I didn't post this in Recruitment because I'm not looking for specific activities, or a limited number of players. I'm simply looking to bolster my amount of gaming buddies and my exposure to all in-game activities, and to enrich my Destiny experience as a whole. I did play with my step son and a couple of his friends for a while as I was leveling up. I'd played DCUO with them in the past, and had a fairly good time. But when it comes to Destiny, he and his gang can be some real pricks. They're the ultra-serious types who will moan and complain if you die, kill steal when you're trying to complete a bounty just to show how they can kill everything in the room before you can get a hit in, complain that if you're having a bad day, that you're holding things back, not revive you, etc. I don't need any of that. I work all day and play in the evenings and on weekends to escape the BS of everyday life. Sure, I'm not the best at this game. I'm 41 and its my first FPS experience. And my first FPS PVP, when it comes to the Crucible. I'm not visiting the Lighthouse anytime soon. And that's okay. But I am Improving, and having fun. I'd like to continue having fun. But I'd also like some people to have fun with while enjoying Destiny. So if you're a down to earth Guardian who feels the same way I do, and has a good attitude toward having a good time, then feel free to reply, shoot me a friend request on PS4, or just say hello.

2 RepliesI was in the same situation as you - never played online multiplayer games in any real capacity until Destiny. Played the beta and couldn't wait for the release. Played those first couple of weeks solo and avoided the crucible but when I heard about the Vault of Glass I knew I needed to be in a team. Checked out Dads of Destiny and met a few folks and we dived into the Vault. That's when I knew this is where the game shines - with friends. So a couple of us formed a PS4 clan, Eclipse SOG, predominantly dads early on but we've expanded since to include anyone as long as they are an adult that plays with respect for others. We're based in the Pacific Northwest and just want to play without any big expectations other than to have fun and enjoy the game for what it is. Yes we are a casual group but we do all the activities: all PvE activities and PvP activities, several of us have even gone flawless in Trials (not me unfortunately). Definitely get yourself into a clan and play regularly with a consistent team and enjoy the social aspect this game offers - it's one of the best aspects of Destiny. My group is a laid back group. We joke about things like if someone has a bad game, which we all do, that they need to step up their game. Tho we don't really mean it LOL. Unless it's trials we just goof around.

I plan on starting a twitch stream so i can find prople lile me to play with im 43 and no one i know plays destiny and ive never done any of the raids or any of the fire team bounties. I play x box 1 look for me my name is sumbuh and my twitch should be sumbuh_aertinz is my gammer tag ive been gamming a while now and enjoy destiny the most. 34, and I get a bit too competitive sometimes in crucible, but I'm always down to help those willing to communicate, learn and play as a team. I can help with any PVE event in the game as well, on PS4.

Really need a fire team to do raids etc. with as still stuck around 308 light. Hit me up: Deckard-72 - I'm on PS4 and in GMT timezone although mostly play late at night or very early mornings here anyway, so should be able to line it up with most players.
