How to properly 'nerf' snipers...

Up flinch on all weapons. High caliber rounds should be the base line. High caliber rounds add more flinch, and chance to descope. (15% - 25%) / (# of headshots to kill + 1) Colovance Duty with high caliber rounds would have a 3.75 - 6.25% chance per shot to descope. Unflinching reduces flinch by 1/4 and chance of descoping by 1/2.

No... it shouldn't beaten by a specific perk... You have to remove the low zoom scopes and magnify more.

  • Unfortunately I believe your suggestion would not work. Snipers currently do experience a lot of flinch when taking a hit, but their scope returns to the original point of aim. High Caliber Rounds increases the time for it to reset and Unflinching decreases it. If descoping is to be added, then a reliable hipfire reticle would have to be added and as well as (possibly) an increased hip fire accuracy. This would make it similar to the Halo sniper, which experiences descope (when zoom is tied to smart-link) but experiences little to no flinch or recoil. As I have suggested in other posts, it would be better to reduce how much the scope resets. Having the scope reset to a value between 85% and 95% seems like it would be fair. This would allow for no lucky kills between hits and require manual adjustment, but is still close enough for the sniper to still have a chance if they are fast or skilled enough.

People using primary should flinch 100x less than now. Unless it's last word. If you're using last word you deserve 100000x flinch for using the most unbalanced gun in the game.

    • LOL this isn't cod, kiddo. Anyways, if you want to descope give me 100 percent hip fire accuracy an I'd be fine with it. That's a major buff.

    • They dont need to be nerfed. Primaries need to be buffed instead.

      • Increase flinch (not descoping though), add weapon sway. Then I think they are probably OK.

        • Nerf body shot damage slightly. Getting hit once by a sniper and then one tapped by any primary is -blam!-ing stupid. All bad kids want to do now is run around doing that shit, and it needs to stop.

          • This I like!, I hate it when I get sniped after I shoot 2 burst on a hardscoping sniper.

            • Actually the best way to nerf snipers is to lower aim assist down enough so hardscopers actually need skill to kill me as i round a corner and not enough to make headshots hard to get as in bf4.

            • I'm kinda against it. It's hard enough with flinch. That really only applies to hard scopers. To snipers who move around, it's already hard enough.
