Iron Banner "Where Light Level means Nothing"
I can not believe that I am either getting two shot killed by 301 - 319 light Level Guardians when engaged in a duel. This would be understandable if this was regular crucible but its Iron Banner where light matters. I am heated due to grinding my characters light level, weapons for hours and days to gain power advantage for this type of event. I do not recall this type of experience in Vanilla Iron banner. There is a reason why players grind in this game and Iron Banner has taken that exclusive power away, Bungie, why introduce this type pf event? Iron Banner should now be called "Iron Crucible " where you can grind for exclusive loot.

For like the first 2 or 3 iron banners there were lvl 12 players suffering almost 0 damage drop off against lvl 28-30 players. It was one of the most complained about things for the first couple iron banner events.

Light level means nothing in IB...sad but true.

I mean I've been able to body shot guardians with my Her Fury. Also had my trimmings doing up to 240 damage at points. Seems light level matters.

Anyone remember the first Iron Banner? Where you could start a new character and still compete against the big kids at like, level 5, or something? :p

I actually kind of agree. I mean it was nice not getting totally wiped all over the map when I was about 15 to 20 light below others in IB. However, only a 5 percent reduction in damage for 20 light below yours is a little sparse. If they changed the delta from every 10 light to every 5 it would be good. Then at 10 below you are at 5 percent, and around 20 below you get about 13 percent. That seems pretty fair considering that as long as you are within the delta range your damage is the same. I.e. currently if you are 326 you are in the same delta as 335. If it was every 5 light then 331 would be the same power as 335.

At that level it's around 10-15% lower damage for them and they take that much more. Destiny is first and foremost a shooter...any rpg with that much difference and they wouldn't damage you at all.
