If shoulder charge can one hit anywhere almost any time then throwing knife should headshot kill.
-
Uh... you guys.. DO know that Throwing Knives have headshot capability, right? If you DO tag someone in the face, they're going to die. That's the entire reason Knife Juggler is a perk for your Gunslinger tree. ... You do know that, though... ... right...? (I haven't played on my Hunter in nearly two weeks, I don't run it very often, but when I do, I sling some guns.)
-
Sure. Only if they make it that it can only OHK with incendiary blade and if they remove the bullshit knife magnetism.
-
A one hit melee charge, worse than the storm caller melee if you do that
-
Throwing knives should one hit kill with a burst to the body. I've done some decent damage and then tossed a knife at the guys forehead, what happens? I get killed and he has like 1hp left.
This is the most balanced PVP has been, according to players who love PVE more.
If shoulder charge can one hit anywhere almost any time then throwing knife should headshot kill.
Its not call of duty, plus throwing knives do have a curvature in their flight path
-
I'm not calling for a shoulder charge nerf but a knife buff
-
With burn I 100% agree.

1 ReplySC is for Titans that have max armor, so running at someone will not kill them that easy as a hunter (with like no armor) because the hunter will die just by falling from their untied shoelaces while the Titans need a Godzilla to step on them for them to die. So if you give Titans throwing knifes that OKH they would be unstable. And if you give the Hunters SC they would die way too much and be an utter bullshit perk. The reason Hunters have throwing knifes (something you can throw) is because if they go into the battle instead of staying away they would die! I'm not here for nerfing SC, but just to buffing throwing knifes.

That would be broken has hell. With gamblers dagger, people could insta kill you over and over again from range and get their knife back instantly. This is apposed to shoulder charge where you have both a priming time, an activation duration, and a stagger time after use, all without mentioning that you have to be in shotgun range to actually kill.
-
It shouldn't be an insta, but it should be one body shot handcannon and one TN headshot. Watch TrueVanguard's "Did they kill gunslinger" video.
-
Shoulder charge is just fine charging at me from 5 ft away, I'll just use my ace of spades lol. Throwing knife is extremely underwhelming now, being I was a low armor blade dancer before June update(when that class became a meme) I never even got hit by throwing knife because of this thing called agility, I got hit once with a burning one and and it didn't kill me in a headshot then, now I tank those easy peasy along with trip mines yep low armor tanks trip mines. So yes buff throwing knife and return trip mine damage no need for sticks, but don't nerf shoulder charge there is no point, any needs make it useless.

You mean those cloth robes and hoods hunters wear?

13 RepliesThrowing a knife at a shielded armored helmet should just go clang and bounce off dumbass.
-
3 RepliesLittle tiny knife vs superior futuristic armor. Now do get me wrong, throwing knife is one of my favorite parts of Gunslinger, and I'm disappointed it got a damage reduction, but should a tinny blade really be able to break through armor that shields us from the darkness? Armor that survives bullets and rockets is pierced by a knife? What part or this makes sense?!
-
2 RepliesAfter reading though all of this, and my own opinion.... -1st- hunters are the only ones whom don't get an overshield. They also, do not get a 1 shot melee. It would only even it out to have the throwing knife (plus burn) do the same thing as the other classes have. -2nd- shoulder charge doesn't take skill (for the most part). They can run around a corner and activate their charge and kill you. -3rd- warlocks and hunters have cool downs cool downs for their melees, the shoulder charge should be the same. -4th- while a lot of people think it's too over powered, it is easier to dodge a knife than a shoulder charge. I can agree the hunter's knife needs to be brought back to par.
-
7 RepliesShoulder charge is an all in ability that can be easily countered. Here. Let me show you...
*sigh*. Let's make a list shall we. What can counter shoulder charge? Shotgun Fusion rifle Side arm Sniper Auto rifle Pulse rifle Hand cannon TLW A super A warlock with the Ram A hunter with a primary and a knife A sticky grenade Any other grenade besides pulse Having brain cells Not being a little bitch Jumping Not standing still like a buffoon Getting out of your wheel chair If I kill you with shoulder charge then I could have also killed you with a lot of other things because I'm that close to you. This includes shotguns, melees, primaries, supers and grenades. You're dead either way.
Edited by Salsa: 7/2/2016 3:23:26 AMOnly to low and mid armour guardians

I absolutely agree. Notice me Bungie!
-
This would be stupidly overpowered with Knife Juggler/Gambler's Dagger. Please don't ever consider getting into game design.
-
I could careless about the ohk of shoulder m because all the weight of that armor and speed smashing into you would be like a freight train running you over so it makes sense. I care about the insane auto aim on it. I've had titans way above me and way below me kill me with shoulder charge when I was no where near them. Ice had them turn corners mid charger as well. Not to mention the little momentum it takes to even charge it up. Just starting up a sprint allows it to be used. There's no charge up at all. Just decrease the aim assist a bit and add a three second sprint charge up for it.

8 RepliesEdited by ElementNinja: 6/29/2016 11:27:16 PMBump Also Nerf shoulder charge to consume a melee charge
-
1 ReplyIf they removed the precision kills adds a new knife perk yes. Cause shoulder charge doesn't have that.
-
11 RepliesEasiest kill in the game if this happens, which it never will. Throwing knife has the highest adjusted aim assist of literally anything in the game.
-
10 RepliesActually, this is a good idea, who survives a throwing knife to the face?
-
12 RepliesDunno why Bungie hasn't nerfed shoulder charge yet. It's the most unskilled attack in the game and is extremely unbalanced.
-
Hell to the no, only two things that can one shot and its backstap and sc. Warlock has nothing but im not complaining, the closest thing to challenge them is thunderstrike. If throwing knife were, you could easily throw 2 for 2 kills. Sc just needs a longer cool down. And blink strikes okay now
