Just curious because I see that Final Fantasy XV comes out 10 days after ROI and (depending on if SquareEnix delivers on their commitment to right the franchise ship) I could potentially be talking an extended hiatus from Destiny, but I imagine stopping back for a weekend and want to be able to play with friends.
I assume Nightfall (at times), Heroic Strikes, Daily Story (at times), most crucible playlists would be blocked to those users that don't update.
I am skeptical that I would get full "value" from the purchase of ROI since soon thereafter I will be dedicating much of my discretionary time to FFXV.
Anyone know at this time?

They are keeping old content, you gust won't get new crucible maps, now strikes, new story, new armor, new weapons, new patrol map, new social space....ect. rise of iron is coming with alot of content.

Most likely would be locked out of nightfall and possibly daily heroics, trials and iron banner. Probably only be locked out of the new crucible mode that's coming. Other than that I would assume you have and would remain to have access to all the things you currently do with TTK

All endgame activity New gear New crucible

I'm pretty sure if you are on last gen it won't effect you much since they aren't getting it, but I'd expect current gen to get locked out of a lot of stuff if you don't get it.

Everything. Your light will.stay at 335 when everybody else reaches the new cap. Most playlist will require a new.much hogher light level keeping you from a lot of.content
