You just can't get the gun to work for you?
We all read about "God roll" this or "you should farm for a certain roll" that, but I swear sometimes I feel like I get a decent set up, and it just won't come together for me.
I just got a the villainy (pulse rifle from fwc)
With range finder and braced frame. I felt that the rate of fire would be like nirwens mercy, but more stable... and I just couldn't catch a groove with it.
Anybody else out there finding weapons with great rolls on paper... but having trouble getting them to sync up with your play style?

Just depends on you. Do what works for the way you play. Doesn't matter what the meta "god roll" is if that roll doesn't feel good to you

3 RepliesGrasp of Malok feels that way to me. I had 10 of them or more drop and even with balance perks it feels like shooting the Nechrochasm again. Its all over the place.

2 RepliesThings like archetype, scope, and recoil pattern matter. Especially archetype (rof, specifically). Some people just do better with particular archetypes. Personally, I struggle with high rof archetypes, pretty much across the board. They make me feel too bullet spamy and imprecise. I've always liked medium/low rof with higher impact; fewer bullets, more precision hits, and usually more range.

I really cannot do well with pdx 45 or hawksaw. Only pulse rifle I've done well with since the nerf is reflection sum.

2 Repliesbought a "God roll" Hawksaw from the crucible vendor... and did not like it at all

2 RepliesI got soulstealers claw with all stability perks. It was crap. Went back to the one with range perks .

1 ReplyThat's why I hate the phrases "god roll" and "no-skill gun". There is no such thing and I'm proof of that. You could give me the most perfectly rolled guns in the game and I'll go right ahead and destroy your ambitions with them. I made a thread a while back about how rng was trolling the shit out of me because all I've ever wanted was a good roll on a handcannon. But I've gotten spectacular rolls on literally everything but handcannons. I listed a handfull of my guns in the post, as well as having some equipped, and the jealousy was real(not that I wanted to incite any). Moral of the story is, guns and perks don't make the player good. A good player can still do well with just about anything.

2 RepliesVanity from Fwc. Stats claim to be awesome but for some reason I just feel like it's lacking...something. Then again I can use every type if gun very efficiently except hand cannons as of now if someone were to challenge me 1v1 I'd win about 50% of the time before it was like 10% so I am practicing. Maybe that's just what you need. Practice
