6/14 Overwatch patch notes

These patch notes came out today for PC and will be coming to console probably towards the end of the month. They are balancing console and PC separately so things might be different for console players, but let's hear what you think? Me personally I like the mccree changes but the widowmaker nerf seems pointless to me. I was really hoping they would adjust the hitbox size for heads which would fix both widowmaker and hanzo. The random shots that lead to way too many headshots is really really annoying. The changes to her alternate fire weaken body shot damage while leaving her headshot damage unchanged. Additionally, we felt her Ultimate ability, Infra-Sight, was coming up a little too frequently, especially considering its impact on the game. * Bug Fixed Improved stability of the High Bandwidth option in Custom Games Fixed a bug that allowed Mercy to gain Ultimate charge whenever damage boosting an ally who was attacking a barrier or Ice Wall Fixed a bug that allowed Reaper to Shadow Step to unintended locations on a certain maps Fixed an issue with collision on certain areas of Dorado not blocking line of sight [/quote]

  • I dont think McCree needed that bad of a nerf, he was good but not THAT overpowered.

      I saw a video of someone quickscope instakilling as Widowmaker, and while it is possible to quickscope, the quickscope OHK is not. At least not on console. I tried it against the target drones on the Practice Range. It took multiple quickscope shots to the body before the drone blew up. Now, by comparison, it took TWO quickscope shots to the head for a kill. So while I don't see the WM nerf coming to consoles, McCree is a different story. McCree I'm not to sure about. I'd need to see video evidence of McCree actually one shotting a tank with his Fan The Hammer skill. I get the feeling what's happening is someone's taking damage, McCree Flashbangs them which adds damage, then McCree shoots them.
