      • Tell me about it. I'm a marksman and get headshots for days but for some reason hand cannons just don't seem like they're delivering. I have Hawk, Last word, Eysuluna(spelling?) and Imago loop with all good rolls but end up switching to other weapons as a result. Who knows

          Because Bungie decided to blanket nerf the accuracy of hand cannons, and make it entirely reliant on the range stat. If your range is maxed out on a hand cannon it's almost as good as a typical year 1 hand cannon, and as of right now, there are only 6 hand cannons that can do that because their base range is high: -Ace of Spades -Imago Loop -Eyasluna -Finnala's Peril -Lord High Fixer (extremely close to maxed out) -Judith-D Any other hand cannon is going to have quite a few phantom bullets regardless if you have rifled/reinforced barrel active. What Bungie needs to do is make the accuracy on all legendary hand cannons equivalent to that of a max range Eyasluna and only have range affect the damage drop-off. I say only Legendaries simply because if you buff the accuracy anymore on TLW it'll be more OP than it already is, and Hawkmoon will be pretty OP as well, but I digress. What also doesn't help is that everyone likes to use weapons like Hawksaw/PDX-45, Mida, TLW, and Doctrine because of their extremely fast time to kill. While a hand cannon can be very deadly in the right hands, statistically, it gets outclassed by those four weapons every time.

              • Handcannons need a slight range buff and a major accuracy buff. Also, remove the phantom bullet bug.

              • I've been playing with my Stolen Pride since the April Update and love it. Feels just like Fatebringer, only without the Firefly perk.

              • Because they get outplayed for their range. High rof pulses and autos dominate close/mid range games while scouts and snipers dominate long range. Pretty much the only way to win with a hand cannon is finding people who can't aim, or someone using red death. Maybe a shotgunner here and there if they aren't using universal remote

                • HC are very underwhelming right now. Time to get rid of those phantom bullets or buff stability. Could be I just suck with them, but THAT badly? I dunno..

                    • They don't, some have scout range. Others have ye olde suros regime stability, you can get 13 shots (not hawk moon) or sometimes 14 if you get triple tap. Stop complaining

                      Basically use an exotic or a Luna. That's about it. Even the water star isn't that great. Tbh i miss the days if being able to re-roll your guns. I've gotten 5 Luna drops and all of them are garbage. I'm so tired of getting a good gun but never getting a perk to make it usable.

                    • Most hand cannons not very good but there are few that absolutely wreck everything. IMO the best is Eyasluna with a rifled barrel roll, you can check the one on my hunter if you want. Handcannons IMO require you to have Rifled barrel for them to be consistent.

                    • In my opinion, the best handcannons right now are Eyasluna and Lord High Fixer, mainly if they have Rifled Barrel, Rangefinder, and/or Hidden Hand. Handcannoms are potentionally the best primary weapon type since they put heavy damage into single shots instead of bursts or smaller amounts of damage, but they do take a lot more skill to use then they used to.

                    • As someone said if you are good with them they are killer. They seem to be top of the primary list in 3v3 play for instance. They are actually holding their own in the pvp world right now. I know I was shocked to see that also. They are clearly not for everyone but I guess that is fine. With what I saw on the graphs if they were buffed they would likely take over the game........again.
