Dont give us optional matchmaking
Give us text chat in tower

Id rather a kiosk in the tower that acts as an ingame groupfinder with selectable criteria.

Yeah it will be super easy to make a raid party out of all 8 people in the tower. Not saying we shouldn't have that option, too, but that's not even kind of close to the number of people you could reach with optional matchmaking or in game LFG.
