Hi
I have found several legendary and exotic weapons with for example 170 in damage.
However I have seen on youtube people having the same weapons but with much higher damage.
How is it possible if the weapon can not consume another weapon?
Are there different versions of same weapons or is there another way to modify the damage?

6 RepliesWell first you need to buy the taken king, Then you need to go do all the missions. Then you need to earn the weapons from year 2 vanguard or crucible packages. You can't reroll it so if you get a bad roll just delete and try again.

They changed all light. y1 weapons were 365. Y2 came and they reset that. Max for weapons that didn't come to y2 is 170. Weapons in y2 can go to 335.

You can watched old videos. In year 1 the highest attack was 365 and when year 2 started Bungie reseted all the year 1 equipment to a max 170 light

So, in year one bungie had a bunch of exotics, however in year two they dropped all year one weapons and armor to 170 light max. Some of the year one weapons they brought up to year two light levels( can be infused up to 335 ) year two exotics can be obtained from the exotic weapons kiosk(near the vanguard, cayde, ikora, etc.) by buying three of coins from xur( planetdestiny.com has his location every week) and rarely strikes, raids, and nightfalls. If you have any questions I'll answer them to the best of my ability :)

6 RepliesYou're seeing Year 1 versions and Year 2 versions of the same weapons. When you get a year 1 exotic, either before TTK came out or by currently doing activities that drop only year 1 content (i.e. VoG, Crota, etc.), it automatically unlocks the ability to buy the Year 2 "blueprint" from the Exotics kiosks in the Tower by the Vanguard. Only Year 2 exotics can be infused and their lowest light is 280.

4 RepliesThere are year 1 versions that max out at 170, but there are year 2 counterparts that are the same but can be obtained through cruciblr/vanguard packkages that max at 335
