Please Bungie, make the red bar cheaters pay, I am sure I'm not the only one who is tired of seeing a guardian teleporting all over killing all your teammates in its wake. IMHO you should simply match all the red bars together and let them have the ultimate glitch off, and let the non cheating guardians with good connections play fun and worth while matches. Instead of being killed by the invisible cheater.:)

1 ReplyI haven't had a huge issue with cheaters, I have had a HUGE ISSUE with matching people that live thousands of miles away from me that my team with a USA host matches a European team or a team from some other country so it is a lagfest and is a terrible game experience. The problem is with the matchmaking and it is only getting worse. Now i see people teleporting on my screen all the time with full green bars that will dip to red eventually and usually only for a short time, but the person will be teleporting the whole game. This deception of connections is probably the most appalling thing in the game, I can tell the other person has a terrible connection to the host but 1.) He/She cannot get kicked from the game for his/her bad connection and 2.) I always get matched against people with terrible connections to me or the host of the game.

28 RepliesSome people can't help if they live farther away from everyone else. If you were in my position ( I live in a small town in northeast Texas) what would you have to say about this?

Very true

I stabbed a dude and he disappeared I was standing there looking for him and then I fall over dead and it said the guy knifed me from the other side of the map............. Like wtf

1 ReplyThere's a specific option in game to report cheating and/or bad connection players for this very reason. Use it.

True that. The only red bars that are on the bottom of scoreboard just plain suck, usually the red bars are on top and they KNOW they are at an extreme advantage.

Red Bar OP Bungo pls nerf ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Everytime I'm red barring, (which is very rare), I do both teams a favor and leave. I don't want to ruin others experiences because of bungie a crap servers

6 RepliesTo clear things up not every red bar is someone cheating. I used to have crappy WiFi and still did decent in the crucible and people could kill me just fine. As a matter of fact, it was actually harder to kill people when I was red baring, so I don't know how people with red bars get so many kills. Maybe the ones with red bars who can kill so easily are cheating, but not every red bar is a cheater.

1 ReplyThis reminds me of Activision's response to people who were hacking on Titanfall.

Thats true

What you got to do is actually I won't say it's not nice and it's not easy let's put it that way.

A console without the destiny application beats anything. Win every time.

I used to feel this way. I would rage at the red bars even if they weren't rubber-banding gods, because I perceived them as ruining the lobby. After the April update my very expensive high quality wired internet connection (200 down 20 up 8ms ping) and router (Asus DK) are no longer good enough to keep me constantly green. I seem to die just as easily, my k/d has even gone down. I don't know if it is just because so many fewer players are logging in so the matchmaking is forced to be farther out, or if the changes they made to networking in April just changed things intrinsically for me and the hundreds of others who have posted- and undoubtedly thousands more who don't have the time to post and have just moved on. The fact is, no matter who you are, where you are, what you pay for, sometimes crap happens that you can't control. I'll continue to *try* to play as long as I'm green the majority of a match. If I see red a lot I'll leave and try a new lobby. The turds that stay in a lobby with a solid red and keep themselves at the top of the scoreboard are the ones that should be reported, and the only ones I do anymore. If that's you (you know who you are) you are absolutely ruining it for everyone and should be restricted end of story.

Just an FYI...
