Hey guys this is my first souls game so bare with me I'm still a noob haha.
So I farmed the black knight in the road of sacrifices area and got the full set sword, shield and all. I was just wondering If it's a good idea to keep specing for this armor or if I should mix it up with different pieces from different sets?

This is Fashion Souls, the only thing you should worry about is weight. And looks.

1 ReplyAbyss Watcher set with that one big hat. Best getup ever.

1 ReplyFashion > stats. My guy looks like an undead teenage mutant ninja turtle raiden sauron. Dig it

1 ReplyHonestly it's all situational. Personally I just have three sets all mitch matched. One gives me high overall damage and resistance. The other gives me high physical and fire resistance with the last one being a set just for the nameless king. Just build a set that gives what you need and keep it under 70% and your golden.

Thx everyone for the advice I greatly appreciate it

Edited by STD Carrier Form: 5/25/2016 10:14:51 AMThe only armor set I wear is Leonhard's Set and other things when I'm bored.

Wait wait wait. Do you choose Stats > Fashion. This is heresy.

4 RepliesEdited by tjustie: 5/25/2016 4:33:59 AMBe an abyss watcher instead. Get the armor and the greatsword. Probably not the best set in the game, but the armor looks cool and the moveset on the greatsword is sexy af, and that's all I care about.

Edited by Vesius: 5/24/2016 1:04:04 PMI usually go with sets if they look good but I do mismatch sometimes.

1 ReplyThe Black Knight set isn't that great, I prefer the Silver Knight armor. I wouldn't spec just for that set. But the sword and shield are very good. Strength, Dex, and Vigor (along with occasional endurance) are more important than vitality. Personally I still put points on vitality, more than most, but don't waste those points only to carry a heavy set.

5 RepliesI like to mix my armor, but that's just me

3 RepliesIn Dark Souls, armor sets don't really affect defense much so the golden rule has been to wear whatever you prefer. Also referred as Fashion Souls.
-
I wouldn't set your sights on speccin for armour, chances are you'll come across something else that catches your eye.
-
I don't see why not. I mean, armor and vitality don't really impact much of anything outside of aesthetics, so if you find a set you think looks cool then wear it with pride. Besides that, it's your game, so there's that. Personally, my characters have virtually no vitality and wear rags except for the armor of thorns chest piece lol

Fashion souls trump stats

3 RepliesMatch things like fire, frost, poison ETC to the area but otherwise just stay under 70%
-
I like to mix armor as long as it provides defense still lol.

1 ReplyIts armor set is decent. Its shield is where it's at though, that thing is heavy but has really good resistances. I'd recommend wearing fallen knight armor, mirrah armor, or lothric knight armor depending on how much VIT you have.
