I hope this fails miserably. It's perfectly fine that the leads are all females, but the "joke" at 0:52 shows exactly what mindset the creators and writers have. These people are going to expect everyone to like their movie (no matter how bad it is) and any male who doesn't is going to immediately be labeled as a sexist.

3 RepliesFirst this now rocky horror picture show, what's next wizard of oz? The godfather? Seriously I hope everyone involved in these cash grabs has their careers ruined. You want to remake something, find a crap/ Unknown movie make it good.

6 RepliesWell, cinemasins is going to have a field day after the movie is out.

That entire movie is cringe worthy

All females you say are they topless if not it will fail unless it's a sandwich making for pros that I can take my girlfriend to

1 Reply"If they've come to watch a good remake, they will be disappointed."

Honestly I don't even hate the movie itself anymore (don't get me wrong, it's pretty much snark bait still), it's just that Hollywood keeps churning out crappy remakes instead of leaving movies as they were. I feel the only movies that should be remade should be the movies that were absolutely terrible (not the ones that turned out so bad, to be good, just the objectively terrible ones that no one ends up fondly remembering)

Who cares if I get called a sexist, at the end of the day the only ones calling you sexist over it are the fat, lazy, slobs, or just plain man haters known as feminatzies!

2 RepliesWhy the -blam!- does everybody think this is a remake? It clearly said in the first trailer that it is a sequel... whether that is worse or better is up to you. It looks somewhat entertaining. I would say when it comes out it may get a 4-7/10 due to some laughs and interesting effects, the rest of the movie falling short... way short.

Another classic ruined.

1 ReplyI think they could have found a better cast. Also, from what I can tell, that one lady is just a caricature of every black female stereotype. If the director is trying to be so "progressive" why even bother including this? I wish Hollywood could learn to leave a good thing alone every once and a while

I think the only good thing about that movie will be the soundtrack

1 ReplyIt's got an okay soundtrack from what I'm hearing but that's about it.

I'm hoping this movie turns out to be good. Regardless, it's gonna be a fun date with my girlfriend; we'll either enjoy the move together, or enjoy ripping it apart together.

I felt they were so close to making funny scenes but then they just messed it up at the end.

SO BAD

My worry is that the movie will target a younger audience who will be more easily impressed by campy, half assed humour than the dry humour which made the original such a success across a range of age groups. I was pretty young watching Ghostbusters for the first time and enjoyed catching the jokes which went over my head as a kid. Somehow find it doubtful this latest attempt to revive a classic title will hold this same charm down the road. These film makers still haven't caught on that people who cherish these stories are the audience they need to impress. Gear the script to appease these folk and new fans will join. Try to catch new fish with old bait and go hungry. All this money flowing through Hollywood and all the schooling that's required to get into the industry and they still can't figure that out. Yeah, they make money along the way, but at the sacrifice of doing anything memorable with the material given license to. Ghostbusters will likely be remembered as that one movie that didn't work out as well as the original. Still, a couple people will make one helluva pay day off it and everybody who worked on it already got their money.
