334 a slap in the face from BUNGHOLEVISION
This is the worse Troll a video game developer could put in the game. Every Exotic Engram I've have gotten has decrypted to 334 light despite me being 334. The update specifically did Exotics would decrypt HIGHER not Fvcking lower.
The RNG in this game is the most punishing I have ever encountered. Loyal Hard Core players are punished while casual new jack bottom of the End Game Screen players get rewarded.
I've put up with this shit since beta. But after running the raid for the 97th time and still not being able to pull a 335 Ghost, Fvcked by RNG, or a Zen Meteor out of over 50 Special Exotic Engrams, I think it's time to let this shit go. This isn't even a game of Legitimate Chance. It's a preprogrammed algorithm by Bungie to punish Hard Core players. Fvck you BungHoleVision.

1 ReplyI know what you mean. I usually keep my light to about mid of 333 while decrypting and always get 335. I think Bungie wanted to stop people from farming for their alts.

I'm confused what difference you think one light level point will make? Also I'm a 333 and have had two 335 ghosts drop from the challenge of the elders. Far easier to run (and can be solo'd with ease) than the raid. Get in there and kill those Elders, guardian.

I got so many 335s decrypting exotics back when I was between 330-333, but nce I hit 334 all I ever get is 334 exotics. Never a 335 if I have my light at 334.

[/quote] The update states exotics will have a [b][u]chance[/u][/b] to de decrypted into something higher than your light level. Hope this helps.

2 RepliesEdited by ccSPiTFiRΞ: 5/18/2016 6:55:23 AMI hit 335 on all my characters 3-4 weeks ago & I can honestly tell you that there's no point in being 335 since you are guaranteed to get shit 334 loot from activities. I don't even bother switching to 335 anymore since the majority of my loot drops at 335 when my Guardian's light is at 334 (same goes for decrypting exotic engrams). Take a look at my characters & you'll notice that all my gear is 335, besides the 334 artifacts which I've specifically kept to be able to lower my light to 334. Last week I ran Oryx challenge at 335 to test & all my loot dropped at a max of 334 (I obviously switched back to 334 before proceeding with my other 2 characters & what did I get for it?...335 loot ;-) Yesterday I ran x3 raid challenges & got x3 Heavy weapons along with x4 Special weapons all at 335. 4 RepliesIt seems the more you play the less you are rewarded with what you need. It's like there's a system in place which works out that this player, plays a lot of hours so let's slow his/her progress down. It would have been great if this game was on pc. Then people could break down the files and try and find out what the rng is based on. Slightly off topic; in The Division there is a stat you get on armour that's called Scavenging. For months people we spending time and resources to get this as high as possible to get better drops. It turns out (found by the PC guys) that this does not affect high end drops. Only basic crap from normal enemies.
