nothing
Edit: deleted b/c of edit 3
Edit 2: The general gist of everyone's responses is to engage it at a range, which makes sense. However unless you're on Widows Court that isn't a very practical strategy. The maps in Destiny just favor close quarters engagements far too highly.
Edit 3: After reading most of the responses, I will agree that it isn't unbeatable but it is too strong. Personally I think the amount of effort it takes for someone to beat a Doctrine in a 1v1 is a lot higher than it is for the person using the Doctrine.
Edit 4: Kind of surprised I'm still seeing posts, but just to clarify I meant primaries that consistently work well against the Doctrine. Also try to list ones specifically used in Trials (since that's when those Doctrine users are at their sweatiest). And to get even more specific (if you like) the primary you used to beat a Doctrine on your 8/0 or 9/0 game.

Pre april update TLW until that happened. So nothing because it has a small decrease of damage over very long distances.
The maps in Destiny just favor close quarters engagements far too highly.
Which is funny because snipers still reign. So what's OP again?
-
Hawksaw. The range is crazy.

Ahh a riddle! 🤔 The answer is "Distance"

I have more of an issue with hawksaw than DoP

Wanna know what the perfect Primary is to counter that?
My deeick
2 RepliesI've never had a problem dealing with the DoP. I use scout rifles, so I stay at a distance, and that seems to be the key to countering DoP. In CQC, just forget about it. You're dead.
-
3 RepliesI'll make a deal with you. Make a list of guns that you think are acceptable for us to use, and we'll ignore you, and use what's fun/effective. Does it matter that I don't personally like using auto rifles? No, it doesn't. And I'm not going to shame someone who does.

In cqc only blink shotgun,(or my god role eyasuluna)in range pretty much anything.
-
Specials (except sidearms), range (like really long range), and heavies

Do you have the rabid raccoon on a stick wrapped in duct tape? I hear that it's the best weapon out there to fight against it.
If you jump on my account and complain that I'm using it remember that I have a weekly bounty to do...
So, you stand there getting shot at. You don't break engagement. You don't take cover. You stand there. Getting shot at. And you complain that it's OP. Shotguns counter it within their range. Snipers counter it within their range. Fusion rifles counter it within their range. etc, etc, etc. It also helps if they don't get the jump on you. You can also toughen up, chief.

5 RepliesI have won many gun fights using: The last extremity The Jade Rabbit Paleocontact Universal Remote Hawkmoon Mida Multitool Suros Regime (Faster Rate of Fire). The Doctorine can be beat, it just all depends on if you get the first shot off and can keep getting critical hits.
