http://imgur.com/dd2xtXf I was grocery shopping yesterday when I stumbled across this appalling in store display, flaunting the lack of diversity that currently exists in our maple syrup industry. For decades, there has been an Afrocentric monopoly that has dominated the maple syrup market. As a progressive, I believe it to be our moral obligation to be outraged at such a distinct lack of diversity in modern society. As such, I'm beginning a grass roots campaign here in off topic. Enough likes, and we will petition the federal government to intervene as we all know they should, by creation of tax payer subsidized non-Afro companies to compete in the maple syrup marketplace. It should not matter if the subsidized maple syrup companies produce inferior and less delicious maple syrup, the point is diversifying our country for our children's sake. What this cultural melting pot needs is slightly less delicious, non racist maple syrup drizzled on top.
