New crucible mode idea: Last one standing. Please read deej or Cozmo.

So I made up a new idea for crucible. So here it is. Name: Last one standing (LOS for short) Objective: 12v12, health doesn't regenerate but you have a stronger shield. When you die, you are out! The more kills you get before you die the better loot you get. If you are the last one standing you get special weapons that are unobtainable unless you you are the last one standing. Bump and like this if you would like to see this happen. Edit#1: The out of bounds areas get closer to each other so the map gets smaller and smaller to prevent camping. Edit#2: Each kill gives heals you up to the next third of health so if you have half health and you get a kill, you will get to the 2/3 health mark. Edit#3: If there are multiple members of a team left, they must fight in a free for all match. The match has the same stuff like no health regen except for kills and moving boundaries. Edit#4: We are trending! Edit#5: I see a lot f people are saying people can camp and what I did to try to prevent that is I made the map get smaller and smaller but another way of fixing this is just a special map made for this called "Arena" and there are only small things to hide behind like blocks, no rooms or anything. Also the map would still get smaller. Edit#6: Red death and all other healing guns/perks would not work but the perks on subclasses would be replaced by upgrades that don't regenerate health. Tell me what you guys think, and tell me if there are flaws that we can fix together. Be as critical as you want, because the critics are helping me out.

      • Change it to a 3 v 3 v 3 v 3. Last team standing. Last team and team with most kills gets special rewards. Even if you died on your team but your teammates survived, congrats. But your kill count affects your personal rewards if your team got most kills I.e someone got 2 another got 2 and you got 1. You would get less than the 2. Also have revives. Makes it more exciting. Huge map like Bastion and very slowly, close the map in. Or just make a freaking keep away game with a flag. Same teams same idea. Most time held and most kills would get rewards.

            • Well people could just camp in the back and let everyone dir or at least until everyone gets low health then they just run around with a shotty lol. Also Damage over time would be op.

            • I would say that when you're out, you can stay and watch, or you can jump out but still get loot, no loot exploit though so you can't kill yourself and get loot, you must get at least 3 kills to get loot after dying

            • So if we are talking about making this a real game mode let's be realistic: 1. The shrinking of the map is a neat idea, but not sure from a programming standpoint if Bungie can do it efficiently. There isn't anything in the game like this currently so adding that might not be the most efficient way to stop camping. My suggestion would be to add a timer that requires each team to get a kill within 60 seconds of the other team. So if neither team gets a kill within the first minute of the game, the round is a draw. If team A gets a kill, team B now has 60 seconds to get a kill otherwise the entire team wipes, like when getting killed by Gorgons. You could also do a Heavy round similar to Elimination game modes. 2. I'm thinking about this from the perspective of a solo player. A team of six would just run together and roll through smaller team/solo players so a separate que would be needed. 3. Shields in Destiny are a little gimmicky as they are now and they really only prevent small arms fire and melees. I think your system could work but I would be worried about DOT grenades and weapons like Thorn which cause normal damage + additional damage over time. The current system allows you to back-up and reset your shield but if your health doesn't regenerate then people will abuse this tremendously. For example, a Titan Lightning grenade does appx 75% damage to an enemy at first hit but a Firebolt with burn will do 75% + an additional 15-20% burn and that is simply not fair if you cannot regenerate health.

                Might as well go warlock with max inteligence, camp out enough to get super then die and wait for the last person and self res. But imagine how much lag will be there. Bwahaha, forums will explode.

You can read a full description here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/192040014/0/0 But in essence it is a mode where getting a kill with a gun advances you to the next gun, and whoever makes it through the rotation of 25 guns first wins.
