I like it but here's how I would have done it: Loading weapon variants can be earned by getting kills with said weapon or from few packs. You unlock skins from getting kills and from packs You could buy armor with req points or it it from crates, higher the rarity, the higher it costs but you can only get legendary from packs. You also can earn armor skins garments from completing games with the same type of armor on or from packs. Assassinations can either come from req packs or getting assassinations. change phaetons and banshee ultra rarities around. Banshees are hard to kill but phaetons are sitting ducks.

I like it but I do wish there were some armour sets you earned for doing certain things, like Hayabusa in Halo 3, and Venator in Halo 4.

3 RepliesEdited by Onxide: 12/15/2015 4:03:10 PMI like the sense of randomness, exept when I get nothing but rare and uncommon stuff lol. It is a grind, believe me, but it's worth it once you get rid of all the rares, uncommons, etc, and narrow out your loot pool. Now all I'm getting are ultra-rares and legendaries. It's a progression based system and it works fine. It's actually a LOT more friendly than most. I personally like it much more than Reach's credit system...
-
1 ReplyNo but it's better than the credit thing in Reach.
-
I don't mind the REQ system. You can easily earn the points to buy your own packs, and I've never felt pressured to pay. Plus it was a good compromise to payed DLC. Everyone wins because we get all updates for free and it doesn't split the community when new maps are added.

Edited by XenoNinja77: 12/18/2015 12:40:03 AMI'm quite fine with it. I just think Arena needs to give more req points and there needs to be a req pack that will just give you only cosmetic items.
-
1 ReplyI preferred the old Halo 3 way to get armor. Earn it. Want scout shoulders? Go into lone wolves and splatter an enemy with a mongoose.
-
1 ReplyI like the idea but it pushes a pay to win agenda. If it didn't have the buy packets I'd be just fine with it.
-
Reaches was best, but the req system isn't horrible...
-
I don't mind the req system at all. The people whining about it being "pay-to-win" don't know what pay-to-win is, quite frankly.
-
36 RepliesEdited by HappiCow69: 12/17/2015 12:08:42 PMIt's is so pay to win its not funny. Look up iSpiteful and you'll see. WHEN I SAU THIS, I'M TALKING ONLY ABOUT WARZONE, NOT ARENA, RETARDS.

As opposed to what?
-
1 ReplyPrefer to what? Loadouts from 4? Arena?

1 ReplyEdited by Mango Deelite: 12/15/2015 9:26:36 PMInstructions unclear, hamster exploded. Also I prefer to know what I'm getting when I get an upgrade, cosmetic or otherwise.
-
Do I prefer it? Compared to what? I'm not answering till you ask my a coherent question.
-
22 RepliesYou never really earn anything, if somebody looks cool I know they did the same shit I've done to get something.
-
2 RepliesPrefer? No. Hate? Also no. Like? Not quite. But is it better than Reach's credit system.
-
2 RepliesI hate it. It ruins the halo feel. Ships should be around the map and same with guns. You shouldn't be able to choose. It ruins the halo feel.

See, I love getting rare items and the random chance of it... But, in the same breathe it isn't fair that someone at a lower level has better looking gear and better quality items when you have been doing the same thing for longer... I prefer level based gear in a game like halo. Like in Reach. Or like in Halo 3 how you had to do certain things to get certain gear. (Katana, muh gawd). It just doesn't balance out overall seeing as most people I've met open req packs for armor and skins.... Soooo maybe if the armor was obtained through level or doing challenges (same as weapon skins) then it could work out pretty well. Also sorry if this is out of order, and doesn't make much sense. I'm typing in class just trying to get my opinion out as quick as possible lol.

Edited by iInfinityLimit: 12/15/2015 3:50:05 PMDon't really care as long as it stays in warzone The one thing I don't like is how it is new and only way to get armor. Preferred when you actually had to earn each specific piece but it's no big deal as its not game changing. I also would have preferred halo reachs way and how you bought what you wanted with the credits but again no big deal.
-
Idk. I haven't really made up my mind on it.
-
1 ReplyId rather have Halo Reachs detailed armory where I can choose what I'm buying. I don't even really care if they made things ridiculously over priced so people would buy the req points or whatever. Some of the stuff in halo reach required a ridiculous amount of points but at least I could decide how I wanted to look without random drops.
-
Only for some things. I liked buying armor that I liked.
-
They should've made the armor unlocks to be by actually working towards a goal like in old halo games instead of a grindfest of random bullshit like eleven warthogs of different camos in one pack.
-
9 RepliesEdited by TotallyNotDrew: 12/12/2015 4:29:21 PMThe entire system encourages you not to play. There's nothing to work towards. Just AFK in 5 Warzone games, but a gold pack, and pray you get something good. There's no commendations you complete and get cool armor or weapon variations, no bonus for beating the campaign on legendary, nothing. The REQ system as it stand is simply broken.
-
I'd like packs you can buy that are just armor or can't have armor but it's a good system that works great, particularly with the new daily packs.
