    OR bungie could actually create bosses that are not just bullet sponges that stand still and take damage. Don't be a desticle like Datto and the fanboys.

  • "Don't be a desticle" aka "don't like destiny" Also that actually makes sense because snipers are the all time best pve option. He's not saying "take down snipers damage so we can have less fun" but what else can they do to incentivize using other special weapons. You don't seem very smart if you can put that together. It's also just an opinion you don't need to freak out any time someone has one,

  • Don't be a desticle; don't follow bungie or the fanboy opinion blindly. Snipers have always been a good option. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that sniping a boss from cover is the smart choice because shotguns, fusion rifles, sidearms don't do enough damage and require you to be way too close to the enemies. Stop trying to pretend you're smart, you're not good at it.

  • Ohmygooood, you're the one acting pretentious! You just made the point for me! There is never a reason to use the other weapons. You just said that, you clearly know what I'm talking about. That's the bottom line for the argument. Why bother having a game with all these different weapon types when only one is good. That's why there needs to be SOME sort of change

  • Fusions were an option at the beginning of destiny. Then shotguns became an option after dark below. Same thing happened with hand cannons and auto rifles etc. Idiots like Datto were the ones asking for nerfs to hand cannons and nerfs to shotguns and now that's what he's asking for nerf to snipers. There have always been options that were viable, of course it makes sense that people who want to survive encounters use snipers because it can keep you safe at a longer distance. That's not saying they are the only choice, just the wise choice. Why reduce damage on the snipers? To take longer playing strikes and raid bosses? Playing longer does not increase fun. It's already a grindy game full of repetition why would I want to take longer.

  • I'm not saying I want the fights to take longer the idea is you want the guns to be balanced so they are more situational and it allows for more variety. It's boring to kill a boss with the same gun and method every time. I'm also not advocating for bullet sponges, decreasing damage while a boss has an absurd amount of health isn't the solution. Also I don't know about you but I like a challenge so when the best option is stay as far away as possible and just shoot the boss in the head over and over again that's boring. I want there to be tension. I actually feel like the new strikes are a great example of this idea being done well. The raids however cater way more to snipers. And I personally am kind of okay with that balance. But the principle still stands.
