gg bungie
I wonder if Bungie employees look back at these videos in disappointment. They surely feel some kind of anger towards the whole shenanigans that happened before release of the game
EDIT: Some of you need to chill! I'm not hating on Destiny, I love the game! I just thought I'd bring up this video because I thought it was hilarious and looked for your opinions on the shenanigans that happened before launch.

2 RepliesBump for later

For all the person making that demo knew, that WAS playable terrain. You do realize that console optimization happens near the end of development? Shrinking playable spaces probably has more to do with last generation console constraints.
-
4 RepliesNot a theory. It passed activisions bar for a cod like game and bungie had to salvage what they had already spent millions on...in an old engine that takes millions more to edit. We get what they can prop up with the remaining skeleton crew. Crap short campaign? Check Crap unbalanced pvp? Check Possible micro transaction utters? CHECK! Activision happy? Double check! Seems legit right? Now we just play with the reanimated corpse bride. Sure that pussy is dry but we can screw her all day long and pretend it's alive/wiggling.

8 RepliesNo, the worst one by far was Deej saying year 1 players would get "something better" than the exotic class items, exclusive emotes and shaders that the collector's edition had. I still have no idea what that "something" turned out to be.
-
3 Replies"We're going to increase the amount of rewards dropped in Iron Banner!" This is the equivalent to a politician saying they are going to "Drop taxes".
-
1 ReplySad they won't take credit for disappointing everyone
-
Bungie never said sorry about this lie. Or even addressed it. They don't care.
-
4 RepliesIgnore the sheep they have their lips wrapped around bungie visions 8==D, you are right we were lied to
-
I love this game. That said: The funny thing is, is that I knew what the video would be just by reading the thread title. :(
-
2 RepliesThe biggest lie(s) you've ever been told is that you are free and that God is outside of you.
-
That end! 😂
-
11 Repliesyou forgot to talk about how TTK wouldnt drop same exotic gear/weapons over and over again. They said this in the stream post TTK. They lied, ive gotten like 40+ crest of alpha lupi and 10+ hearafter sniper rifles lol
-
They didn't want us to feel that our gear had become obsolete..... RIP Fatebringer
-
How about "we want the game to feel less like a job, so we're taking away the weekly heroic strikes." When all they did was make it more of a daily chore instead.

1 ReplyHow about in the second twitch stream for TTK, did they not say we would be able to purchase weapon parts from the gunsmith, oh that's right then 2.0 came in.
-
If the most disgraceful lie you were ever told was Destiny related, you have have lived a charmed life :)
-
2 RepliesNah I think this is: "Extra rewards will be granted when defeating Oryx in the King's Fall Raid with at least 20 of these."
-
Don't worry, all kill areas will become playable areas in future DLCs and we have to pay

Lol nice music

7 RepliesGuess what sometimes in the world of entertainment and art things get changed during development. Movies get rewrites as do books sometimes in massive ways. There are people who invest millions of dollars who do get a say in what the final product is. After all they paid for it. Bungie found them selves in a really tight spot as they had no studio no existing intellectual property and no money to finance an unproven concept which became destiny. Microsoft basically took all there shit and kicked them to the curb. Just like a bad divorce if any of you have had that experience. Bungie was giving a big 3rd chance as a developer because Activision invested half a billion dollars in the game with no guarantee in a return. Yes it's been said that bungie misses out on a major bonus because they didn't meet Activision s expectations at release. I work for an employer where 60% of my pay is based on performance so if I have a good month I get paid well if I miss my performance expectations I have to suck it up and try harder next time. The article even said the the higher ups were unhappy with the direction the game was going. thats their job to manage their employees and get them back on track if needed. Even if it gets a couple of their employees butthurt and they leave the company. That's what bungie has done if you haven't noticed. TTK came out to great reviews and had been called a massive financial success. How about we forget about what this game may of been and talk about what it will be.
