I find this strange as I have completed the raid on normal, have touch of malice, use a 306 Zhalo Supercell and still am having a difficult time! Oh, I'm also 307 light level, it's not my max level though.
EDIT: I'm wondering if the strikes are prorated to the level you are currently at? Anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed.
EDIT 2: the strikes are recommended at light level 260, if we're light level 300+, how is it we are having a harder time? I think Bungie may have slipped a nerf/buff in there somewhere.
Plus, why do we only have a limited number of strikes now? Someone wanted me to ask this question as well.
Bungie, FIX YOUR GAME! We don't grind out this game to become more powerful just to become weaker in the end! This us a major flaw! Does Bungie even read these messages?
EDIT 3: Okay, I tested a theory out and found out something very very interesting!
What I found out is, when I used a mask or perhaps you could use a lower light piece of armour as well (starting in orbit), you go into the strike, pass the spawning restricted zone notification, then switch to your high powered armour, then mow down the enemies! This is why it's good to never throw anything away, you might need it later! Feel free to try this!
So far, Bungie can't circumvent this as of right now to my knowledge! They can't change up the enemies that fast in the middle of a strike! Only thing is, I wonder if it would reset it to the armour level you have on should you all die in the strike.
I figure there's nothing illegal about doing this as I'm just utilizing the game parameters in my favor to reflect my true attack and defense power levels by using my old armour or masks that's still available to me in the game! This is legal!
Since Bungie wants to play games with our light levels, us gamers can do the same to counter the bullcrap that's been handed to us!

Cause everyone can't shoot or play with common sense. I won't run heroic strikes with randumbs anymore.
-
3 RepliesWell there's your problem. Supercell sucks
-
Yes. I agree.
-
They're harder because everyone is wearing a mask.
-
They need the 6 Marks reward returned.
-
I may have something to do with out max level being 40 and the enemy is 41, despite the light requirements.
-
3 RepliesNo, sorry. Stopped doing them after getting junk. If they have changed I will have to take your word for it. Not sure I want to try again. Your luck may be just luck. RNG hates me and may revert just to get at me.

3 RepliesThis post gave my entire family AIDS and my cat feline AIDS. I can't tell which is worse: OP for starting this stupid theory or the people who actually agreed with him in comments.

I said this to my fire team last night as we were getting 1 shotted by taken snipers at the Warsat on SABER. Was way more intense and difficult to survive than before. We were all around 306 light. Difficulty has definitely scaled with light level on the heroic strikes. I have not checked yet but can you pick different light levels yet like you used to be able to do?
-
Go patrol the cosmodrome and watch you shields get jackhammered by a lvl 2 dreg. Just shitty auto adjusting for PVE. Your light level only matters when it comes to the "seriously hard" stuff. Everything from patrols to strikes have about the same incoming and outgoing damage modifiers. It makes the grind almost pointless because you never feel like you actually have any more of an advantage from level one to light 310+.

Court of Oryx seems to have changed. Still ok with a few people but the AI is really aggressive. I have beaten Tier 1 on my own plenty of times. Today, I just couldn't get away from Thrall long enough to get any recovery started.
-
What? (> ^.~ <) They took me 10-14 min, they are not hard at all
-
It's because all the enemy are one XP level higher than we are.
-
Someone made a good point, there's an extra modifier now.
-
1 ReplyI noticed this also but then wheb i checked i noticed they bow have the heroic modifier on. I cant remember ever seeing that. I might be wrong tho
-
1 ReplyI think the heroic strikes are hard. I can do them, but frequently have to retry the boss at least once. They say 260 light, but honestly, I did the 300 sunless cell strike for the sword, and felt just as easy as a heroic.
-
1 ReplyEdited by WhoAteMyFunDip: 10/29/2015 12:29:41 AMI don't even bother with heroic strikes anymore. Last 10-15 I've tried I've had someone AFK or back out -- and when someone backs out, NO ONE ever joins in. I don't can live without those 30 marks/week. Bungie absolutely ruined strikes in year two.
-
10 RepliesThey did at least upgrade the drops to be over 300 now. Got a 303 pulse rifle from o e of the three got crap the other two times
-
I noticed, I blamed it on doing a bunch of Lvl 36 strikes before, still could be what it is.
-
I haven't noticed a difference in heroic strikes, but in court of oryx. I was doing some tier 2 and the enemies where 305 (i was playing with my 307 hunter)
-
1 ReplyWhilst playing last night I noticed (and commented to the guys I was playing with) a awful lot more enemies (in this instance cabul) with yellow health bars instead of red.
-
4 RepliesDamn, people used to complain about how "easy" things were. Now that things are hard for some, they complain about that. What the -blam!-? Lol I rather something be hard, than easy. What's the point of doing something easy? I'll never understand you people.
-
5 Repliesthey most certainly scale... unless it was a convenient glitch noticed when playing on the heroic (which is what? 260 recommended?) that when id die to certain enemies, it would show a recommended light for them.. and it was over 300..
-
Heroics are a joke why would you need to alter them in any way?
-
2 Replieshavent played any heroic strikes this week, but the previous weeks of TTK didnt seem like they were getting harder the higher light level you were
-
3 RepliesIf this is the case here is an easy fix. While in orbit equip your lowest light level possible and begin strike. Once in the strike equip highest light level equipment. Step 3 continue to suck anyway as I usually do!
