Seems like a lot of people are experiencing issues with the ps4 controller, personally, I went through two stock controllers in about two months after buying my ps4(right trigger on both controllers broke and would keep the trigger down) and then I went through another controller that started with the same issue about 4 months after I bought it.
I'm an Xbox convert and this is probably the only thing keeping me hesitant about staying with PlayStation, why should I stay with PlayStation knowing that I'll constantly be spending $ on controllers bc they keep breaking?
Also; I have never had any issues with controllers breaking before so this is not a normal theme in my gaming.
Edit: if I was throwing/dropping my controller I think the problems would be understandable, however, I am not throwing or dropping my controller.
Edit: If my clan could stop trolling me on this post that'd be grrreeeaaat

Just replace the spring on the triggers its easy

You must be smashing on those buttons. Still have my control from release and the only thing wrong with it is the grip on the stick.
-
The only real issue is that the speaker tho a cool part of the controller drains the battery. I only get like 4 or 5 hours out of a charge sometimes

1 ReplyEdited by Tomerick: 11/8/2015 7:32:32 PMI got my ps4 day one and both controllers work fine. My girlfriend melted part of one by leaving a candle near it but it still works. Edit: I have both consoles so no fanboy

2 RepliesMy only problem with the PS4 controllers is the battery life, never had any real problems.

Never had a problem with my ps controller. From ps1 to now. Never a problem.
-
I've had the same controller since the ps4 came on the market

1 ReplyIf you have some issues with your left stick, just drag the stick to the right and then blow on it. It's explained a bit better in this video
That guy isn't me btw :P
My original from launch is still going strong but I'm on my second scuff due to bloody analog drift and drag

Edited by JHarv: 11/8/2015 6:28:18 PMXbox controllers are way better. Every ps4 controller I pick up is different. And there's always a flaw, whether it's stiff buttons, a wonky rumble pack, bad joystick clicking for sprint, or slow turn from a joystick in a certain direction.

Got a ps4 for 2 years. Bought a new controller 6 months ago cause the old one has trouble with the L1 button. Think thats reasonable after 1,5 year.
-
I have an Xbox, so I can't really speak firsthand, but my buddy owns a PS4 and had issues with his controllers. I'd recommend getting a higher end controller, like Scuf or something along those lines. It's more expensive, but those controllers last a lot longer.

I've only ever had to buy 1 extra controller and that's if I have a friend at my house
-
Strange. Iv still got both my original ones from launch.. Analog sticks have worn the rubber of a bit tho...
-
I still have the same DS4 from the launch of the PS4 and it works perfectly fine. I'm also a heavy user. One thing I never do though is eat while I'm playing. All the food stuck on your fingers will mess up your controller. Don't do it.

5 RepliesMy controller disconnects all the time by itself. PlayStation players praise this new controller saying its the best... Definitely not. It has the worst battery life ever.
-
3 RepliesI bought a new one a couple of months ago because I sat on the old one and broke the left stick off. My arse still hurts to this day.
-
Still got my original ps4 controller 1 years old and works perfectly :)

Does anyone here have experience with scuf? My biggest issue with the Ps4 controller is the spring resistance, which is much higher than I prefer, both for the analog sticks and for the triggers. If scuf only modify normal controllers, they aren't for me.

I still have the original controller I got with my ps3 all those years ago. That thing is rock solid. The pa4 controller however, is dookie.

None on destiny, but in battlefront, the card tied to triangle would activate randomly even when I wouldn't click it
-
I still have the three I got my ps4 with. (I bought 2 extra) No thumbstick issues No trigger issues
