Think about what cheating is. Gaining an unfair advantage. Yes it is cheating. You are doing it in competitive play meaning you are ruining the experience for others and should be banned.

In pve, no, completely harmless. In pvp, yes, because it disrupts player experience. And those that abuse this glitch better be good at abusing it, because if i see it i'm going to bust you in the mouth with a smoke bomb.

It is. Because using an exploit/cheat to gain an advantage over another player is against the T.O.S and can lead to either a temp or perma ban.
