Best way to farm for blue 300 weapons?
Without doing the raid, is there a method , strike , event,etc for finding blue 300 light weapons or armor for that matter? Just want to infuse those blues!

11 RepliesEdited by HHDnB: 10/7/2015 12:48:40 PMAs you know, Destiny's RNG loot system is BS and completely flawed, so you will be waiting a very long time until luck swings your way and you get 300 rare drops. I've had one 298, a couple 296's and several 295's etc. so 299 & 300 are very rare indeed. CoO is technically the quickest way as that only takes a couple of minutes to complete one, but when you run out of runes then running strikes is the second quickest way. It's a common misconception that only Heroic strikes rewards you with high level gear, however from personal experience as well as hearing from many other players, I can confirm that this is not true and running the 240 light strikes will suffice and are obviously quicker to complete then Heroic's. I got to 296 before permanently staying there until I raided, if I was lucky and got a 290+ rare ghost drop then I would've got to 297 but that's the highest I've seen/heard of anyone getting to without raiding. So farm CoO and 240 strikes, then it's raid time I'm afraid. Edit: To save more people saying, you can get to 298 without raiding it. You'll be waiting a very long time though until you get to 299 & 300 without raiding.

1 ReplyI got a 300 fusion from Ikora for a quest. RNG gave me a 299 chest two day ago.. I get a few 295s now and then. As the other Guardian said, make sure your light level is at its highest before you go to see the Cryptarch..

I got lucky last night and got my first 300 primary blue from a cryptarch package which I immediately put into my scout rifle to bring that up to 300. I make sure I have my highest "stuff" on even if I don't normally use said "stuff". I have been doing that since day one of TTK and it really does help with the cryptarch engrams. I usually do heroic strikes but the loot I get is all over the place. Usually I get 275ish stuff but I get at least ONE piece of something that brings my stuff up just a little higher every few runs. If your not raiding to get those 300s then its grinding unfortunately. CoO is an option but if you are playing solo then that is going to be a difficult avenue to take to get those 300s.

10 RepliesDrops on engrams (light level), is actually determined by your current light level at the time of decription. Higher light level will increase the chances but not by much.
