Exotic Scout Rifle comparison: Tlaloc, Malice, or Gemini
Each one has pros. Each one has cons. Each one is great. So, Guardians, which, in your opinion, is the best overall (PvE and PvP combined). Why?

Just started using the Tlaloc and it's great.

7 RepliesSeen all of them in action, and countless stream with Jade Rabbit. Only one that isn't awful is Touch of Malice. Jade Rabbit is really really bad. The perk isn't really worth it at all. You get small bonus damage for missing Crits. Considering the Target Acquisition on better scouts makes it so it's stupid easy to hit Crits, this gun just doesn't put out the damage. Tlaloc is meh. Boolean reminds me of year 1 scouts. And year 1 scouts were -blam!-ing terrible. It doesn't put out enough damage once again. It's special perk is stupid. It's stats are below average. Awful sights. It and jade rabbit are at the bottom of the list for year 2 scouts, going along with some of the blues. And there's a problem when some blues are better than exotics. Now ToM, I've seen a lot of. This thing is crazy strong in PvE. Just the damage output is ridiculous. It is the best one on this list. The Hung Jury SR4 is on par with it as well. Now, about PvP side of things. If you're using a scout in PvP, you're going to lose. Same as year 1. They have the damage now, just not the fire rate. They should make enemies aim kick more. Autos and pulses are the way to go now. Last meta it was handcannons and pulses. Handcannons like last word are still good, but autos are too fun and pulses have the range.

Tlaloc is good if you hold onto your super. Gemini is great all around, especially in PvP. Touch of Malice can be real fun and also good in PvP if you empty your clip down to one. Kills for days, who cares about the self-damage. Killed me a couple times, but it's worth the multi kills. Jade is just a boss killer if you don't have any other high dps weapons. Not bad in PvP either. I'd take Gemini or ToM.

For overall I would say the jade rabbit it's a 3 shot in pvp and used right in pve you don't have to reload....For oryx definitely T.O.M just recently got mine and oryx was a breeze because of it done it twice yesterday and both times was on the 1st run.

Really digging the Gemini in iron banner. I can three shot people with that thing cuz it does 64 damage per shot which is just enough to kill if they have low armor

4 RepliesI realize all three are exotics. I actually prefer the Hung Jury legendary scout over the listed exotics. I've only had the chance to use the first two (Tlaloc and Boolian Gemini) and of those I think I prefer Boolean Gemini. Hung Jury is better than Tlaloc in my opinion - at least if you get it with the right perks (firefly).

I haven't rolled with ToM in crucible yet. But the affect it's had on strikes and the raid especially outweighs everything else.
