So for along time I've said the Hive to be the low level scubs of Destiny. Literally relying on their goods to do anything significant. Not only that but the Thralls make up the VAST MAJORITY of their forces. I know lore wise they aren't supposed to drop with one headshot but if you get a gunship in the air they're screwed. Tomb ship clearly aren't made for...any kind of engagements. Along with Thralls being the 99% Knights who I thought were the Hive's Warriors are actually their commandos. Becoming and losing a Knight is apparently a really big deal, and yet we beat them to death left and right. Even the House of Exiles was able to raid the Hellmouth their most powerful strong hold in what seemed to be an attempt to Destroy Oryx's Shrine. Most of them were Dregs too. All of these things lead me to believe the hive was the weakest until, The House of Wolves. IN Base game the vex got alot of the hype even seeming like the actually threat. Pretty much all of Mars is you ignoring the Cabal just to get to them. Not to mention the Vault of Glass broke reality right before our very eyes. But we found out that the Vex can only do such things in a space that they put into a stasis lock. It isn't exactly something that they can don whenever they please. Even thought the Vex are meant to be able to time travel they still have yet to even turn Venus into a machine after hundreds of years when it was said they turned Mercury into one in a few days. Do they get super charged the closer they are too the Sun? Anyways what has lead me to believe the Vex are indeed the weakest is how they've never done a significant thing. Yeah they're DLC isn't out yet but still they've done nothing that has in anyway put them on the threatdar. Is turning giant rocks into giant hunks of metal really their priority? So in HoW we see the wolves destroying the Vex. They even breach into the vault and break their reality just as bad as we did. Even before you move to fight Skolas, on the lower level you see that the Wolves have a pile of dead Vex at their feet. So much that it can be used as cover. If the Fallen, the ragtag group of space bandits can do to them exactly what we did then why are they even a threat? The fallen are meant to be the bottom and yet they've never lost anything to the Vex. Even the House of Winter during their strike only lost ground because the Vex were telepoirting in, they didn't really even have to fight for territory just warp there. I'm 100% sure the Vex were not going to do anything of great value during that mission. Most of these things seem rather small but let's take a cut towards The Taken King. When you go to Mars Nerdbot says that the Vex (like the others) are getting ready for Big Daddy's arrival. Why? for what reason do they need to fear Oryx? They don't even need troop deployments they can send an army aboard his dreadnought and each ship of his armada in a moments notice, they have to prepare for such an attack? They even seem to be steering clear of Oryx when both the Fallen and Cabal are going right at him. This could easily be set up for their DLC because they know what's going to happen(probably) and they're just preparing for something next but again they don't ever need to prepare they're machines who fear. The Vex have accomplished nothing really through out their war against he other species even the Queen has a Vex warp gate in PoE. How the hell did she get that, well they're all punks that's how. The Vex don't even use tactics they just warp into your face with more numbers and expect to win. Even the B1's in Star Wars use tactics. So are the Vex the weakest enemy in the game? No, the Cabal are. All bark no bit. The Vex might be push overs but the Cabal for as much as I love them are losing a war against the Vex. Hell they don't even understand their tactics of "KEEP MOVING FORWARD!" The Cabal are baffled by their greater strategic minds. You could say "But the Cabal have been stomping Guardians on Mars for a very long time." Yeah that's only because they've basically made Helms Deep but 10,000 miles wide across the planet. The Cabal can't stand in a straight up fight. I mean we even wiped out all of their command units the moment the Vex made a break through their defenses. The Cabal might have the power to destroy planets but they clearly are to o stupid to even turn that shit on. What's even worse about their lack of intelligence is, how long they've been fighting The Vex. They still have no counter measure to them. So if anything the Cabal are the weakest lore wise because of their lack of intelligence. All they seem to know how to do in war is step up a base and don't lose it.What if we just walk around the bases? Anyone out there who knows about military history know of the issues that come with fixed fortification. So going back to my old thread a long time ago I have to say that people were right the Hive are the strongest overall. The Cabal can't survive without their walls, The Fallen lack the numbers and the Vex are just lazy. Welp, GG no re zombies win again.
