*LIVE IN AUSTRALIA, HAVE BOTH DLCs* Why still charge me $69.95?
So we are back up to ripping off the year one players that made Destiny what it is today, I played your beta version in good faith, knowing I wouldn't be blatantly ripped off, as promised with the new download. But seems $150+ already down the tube and bungie seem to be a bottomless pit, wanting another $70! It's a digital download,I'm told there is a price difference to US....... I'm actually going to present this to the ACCC and any other relevant Australian authority in the hope somebody holds you responsible for blatantly screwing money out of hard working families. What a pack of blams! You just lost 2 households.....

By any chance did you download the bigger editions than just the DLC by itself? There were other versions to download that had more on them.

Came here to see the 201.50 comments

I'm just sitting in Canada where it costs $40 Canadian. Which is like $30 American. Sorry, not sorry. It is bullshit you overseas guardians are getting so hosed.
-
That's more than the original game!

13 RepliesAUSTRALIAN PRICING TDB = $25 HoW = $25 TDB + HoW = $40 TTK = $70 AMERICAN PRICING TDB = $20 HoW = $20 TDB + HoW = $30/$35 (I forgot) TTK = $40 HOW IS THIS FAIR!

Lol... Change your xbox location to America! Then buy it on the Microsoft Store, then go back to Australian settings.
-
At least it isn't $201.50
-
lol silly Australians. We don't care what the Australian gov says.
-
Chill, some had to buy it for 201.50

Edited by ravingmasher: 9/8/2015 12:26:52 PMIt's sad because while I do want TTK I could very well end up not purchasing the £40 price. These price differences are silly. I need money for when I go back to University for living costs and I just can't go spending that much on video games when food and rent are more important. Waiting for it to become cheaper sounds like a better alternative.

17 RepliesEdited by boff: 9/7/2015 3:31:48 PMIt's a pretty bad deal in the UK, ttk is the same cost as vanilla destiny at £40. The tax thing makes no sense, £13 in taxes on a £27 product....nope I'm not buying that Export costs....on a digital copy....nope, and as for export cost the digital copy is £40 AND I can get legendary edition for £36....online...where are the export costs there...hmmmm nope The problem with us as consumers is that we are selfish and do not stick together so we get shafted, look at the forums, everybody is to busy attacking each other to actually stick together and have some consumer power. The UK is paying the highest, then it's Europe and Australia paying about £32.... The Americans are paying £27. The ttk is the price of a new game in the UK....if people are replying yeah but the content is huge it's like a full game (I doubt it) so why aren't the Americans paying full game price at $60, why aren't the Europeans paying a full game price at €50.

You'll get nowhere with the accc .. its a usa based company. Even though we have Activision in aust its just a franchise under license ..the parent company in the usa tells its resellers of thier products in other countries how much they will charge you .. also it cost money to transfer data from one country to another . There are import dutys and taxes and those are passed on to the buyers .

18 RepliesIt's the same thing every other game does. Call of duty does it yearly, battlefield didn't start at #4. You and like minded people like you are treating this as a simple DLC which is not the case. It's equivalent to a call of duty game. Go complain to them also. Next, if it's that big of a deal don't buy it move on. Lastly, call all the authorities you want. Games are an open market and self regulated prices even though to promote sales they tend to have have same retail. Your not forced to buy it, it's not a monopolization, it's not a utility. Your complaint will go unheard. I hear the Ford F-150 costs 8,000 more than the like model GMC Sierra let's call the authorities! All together now. Bungie is a business, in business to entertain while making a profit. ... Kids

It's a ridiculous deal that Europeans seemingly get a lot of the time, especially in gaming. I wish there was a way for you guys to just boycott the release, but so many people in the States are getting it as well as some who are still getting it in Europe even with the dumb price tag so there's no reason for Activision to care.

4 RepliesOut of pure curiosity....I wonder if the Australians are mad about this pricing thing?....any ideas?

I didn't read those thread..just looking for some other fur to yiff with ;3

Blame aussie ' s shit behavior towards games.

I like how some ppl here are giving this guy shit for trash talking greed and corruption. More of us Americans need to stand up to this greed and let our neighbors know we also don't stand for it. Sadly since we don't unite we fall divided
-
Yay. Another one of these posts. It's a real simple solution. If you want to continue to play the game buy it. If you don't want to continue to play the game sell it and move on
-
Oh stop wining like a little bitch and buy it
-
2 RepliesWell it's better than $201.50

Don't buy it then. I don't care if they're "screwing me over." I like playing the game and I think it's worth the money.

10 RepliesEdited by mulldoe: 9/7/2015 11:05:36 AMGod damn, you are making Aussies look bad dude. Try using your brain instead of whinging like a little bitch, we have the exact same price differential as the US, TTK is priced exactly where it should be priced. TTK is 2/3 of base game RRP in the US and it is 2/3 of base game price here in Australia. Seriously if you present this to the ACCC they are gonna laugh in your face and tell you to go back to school, think.........then react not the other way around.
