Did you like Rising too? Or was that a step too far?

I wasn't a fan of Rising simply because it was more like Ninja Gaiden than MGS, I played Metal Gear Solid when I was a kid and MGS2 released when I was in High School. At first I hated it because I loved Solid Snake and Raiden seemed like he was a noob that forced his way into the series, I completed the game about 5 times while complaining though so it clearly did something right. I played MGS3 and didn't like it much, MGS4 was garbage and I haven't really bothered for a long time, I'm on the fence about Phantom Pain too since I tried Ground Zeroes and... well we know how that turned out.

I see I know that's the broad opinion that Rising was bad but that's as it was different to other MGS games. I only asked as you like 2 which is hated by some due to the plot twist. Most people seem to prefer 3, each to their own though.
