It all started when TDB was released and vendor gear was better than vault gear. I feel with every expansion that comes out players get worse and worse at raids in particular vault of glass. Who thinks that most players won't even be able to beat the Oryx raid?
Edit 1 - I realize this post maybe confusing to some and that I do not want to help new players. What I should have said was that I am sick of people being 34 with decent grimoire lying about skill level. I'm not the best but generally I let someone know if I can't do something in a raid for example I can't run sword at crota.
Edit 2 - I am 282 light level currently for taken king is 300 the cap?
Edit 3 - So now that kings fall is out are some people having a hard time with underleveled players at Oryx, as in dps on Oryx?

Yes I -blam!-in am those srubby 34s piss me the -blam!- off
-
Most people have never even tried to run a raid.
-
RIGHT HERE
-
Im not opposed to helping people through the vault though I will say it does get quite tiresome when you get teleported by atheon none of the "noobs" (if you will) absolutly refuse to shoot down oracles or they take the relic without knowing how to use it properly and refuse to cleanse. I tend to just leave and find a new group after roughly 25 attempts its hard to help those that dont listen.
-
Man, I haven't run VoG in forever. Maybe next time a random at the Tower asks me, I'll join their party just for the hell of it.
-
1 ReplyBecause this Community is turning into a Day Care, lol its such a joke. Holding noobs hands through everything so they get the rewards they think they deserve.
-
3 RepliesWell, just look at how many players can't kill Skolas.
-
13 RepliesJust a thought, maybe mentor them? This is a "community"...
-
I'm with you man. I had to bow out of a VoG raid a few days ago because I was the only one on a team of all 34s that knew how to run relic. The Vanguard needs to sell 2 tiers of gear; one not as good as raid gear with a low level requirement, and another better set with a higher level requirement that also requires a raid completion to buy. This way they earn the gear and the higher light level.
-
As long as they are not CODbros or squeakers I look at it as an opportunity to teach a newer player about the best raid destiny has to offer so far.
-
I run sword better than crota.
-
I always tell everyone please watch how to run relic video...I hate when only 2 people can run it so if they dont get teleported its a wipe...
-
Edited by Spiritus Irae: 9/14/2015 2:45:34 PMThe new guys are all just levels and no experience in raids. Look for the vets(Usually those with very high/maxed out grimoire)
-
See I'm always honest about skill cause as soon as you hit the ground your team mates are going to realize you're a nube that has no clue... I still don't understand probably 30% of the game but I made it to level 33 with my titan and level 32 with my warlock only reason for not getting further couldnt find anyone for poe. I can run vog never defeated atheon but I know how the entire raid works... Just last night was my first run and completion on crota and every time I didn't know what was going on I asked questions and got answers....
-
3 RepliesWell let's see. Lfg is full of elitist asses and children. Only thing on my legends wheel left is Atheon and Skolas. Why? No one wants to help. I don't know if it's my time zone or work schedule but I've never had the opportunity to do either. Wanted to. Tried over and over the last 2 months. I have all the weapons. Tried lfg Friday and it's just way out of control. So thanks Bungie. I may be an ultra casual but I am here to try and I'll put in the time.
-
2 RepliesActually no. Everyone needs to start somewhere right? I am totally fine with carrying people through raids. My problem is when people lie about it. "Do you know what you're doing? Like have you done this before?" 'Oh yeah I've done this plenty' "How many times would you estimate? *i say this while i look them up on the destiny app" 'Oh like 20 or 30' "*sees only done it three times...* says here youve only done it 3 times, why you lying?" 'Uh...' After that i usually just leave. As i said im fine with taking people through raids. Just dont lie about being experienced

11 RepliesWhen ever I hear someone in the team say they don't know how to run relic, I make them pick it up and I show them how, and I keep doing it until we kill Templar with them as the relic holder.
-
Ran vog with a 34 titan Who had not unlocked his bubble perk yet Another time the 34 running crota hard had no heavy ammo synth and no ib !!

Edited by Atomic Tea: 9/14/2015 2:08:10 PMIf you weren't 30 in Vanilla, most people wouldn't run VoG with you. No experience in VoG gained then. TDB comes out: If you hadn't done VoG before, most wouldn't take you. "Must have maxed Jelly, must know relic" No experience in VoG gained. HoW comes out: "lol u still don't know VoG? Fekin scrublord go away." The problem is this community. This community promotes elitism and exclusivity behavior. If you don't do this, congratulations. You're in the minority. Edit: None of it will mater in 20 hours. Everyone can now get Max level, Jellyhorn will be irrelevant, and everyone will be able to at least attempt the raid because level isn't tied to gear anymore.
-
Soon to be irrelevant in less than 20hours.
-
Lol at title
-
This is precisely why giving everyone the ability to hit max rank without any sort of grind or divisive line is crippling people and I'm talking it hasn't be right since vanilla, pre dark below if there was a lvl 30 he knew his shit, he had to after all the countless times doing it to just to get a chance at getting the gear
-
I like it. He's new so we have to explain everything's n but his level helps him from during so much.
-
1 ReplyI helped a guy this weekend with crota and vog and I will help anyone else who needs it. Why be so salty it's a game.
-
When I would get a Templar CP I would always try and go solo and -blam!- around with the relic until I was very comfortable with it if I needed to run it for any reason
