Day 1 players with grimmoire above 3,000 who thought Jellyhorn should be nerfed?

I don't and personally I've done all game content both without my jellyhorns and with them but I do agree it is an exotic and as an exotic it has the right to be more powerful than a legendary and should not be nerfed! Who's with me?
Yes Jellyhorn is OP because it is "AN EXOTIC" if you wanted shitty weapons then equip green or white weapons

Except in this video game, exotic doesn't mean foreign. It's the highest tier of weaponry and armor with a special perk that sets apart from others. But if you want to be technical, Gjallarhorn originated in Norse mythology. It was the Horn of Heimdall to herald in Ragnarok, or Twilight of the gods. Ragnarok saw the end of the Norse gods. So as far as foreign goes, Gjallarhorn is exotic. As far as game classification goes, it is set apart from other weapons and as far as mythology goes, I'd say it's comparable by being revered and badass. But sure having received mine after beating all game content without one, now I like to just blow shit up with it.
Edit: what really ticks me off is not the nerf itself but the fact that bungie caters to people who barely even play the game so they complain and bungie makes changes to please these people. I'm not an elitist but I've put some hours into this game and not sure about all of you but these nerfs just make it seem as though my time spent has all been for nothing when my gun is the same as a player who just bought the game yesterday...when will you stand and put a stop to all these nerfs?! Edit2: The reason why I wanted people with 3000 plus grimmoire to post on this thread because it is is us that have put in the time invested to get those coveted weapons and I wanted to see if you guys felt the same as me that all the hard work and time invested to obtain these exotics went down the drain just for the fact that new players were complaining cause they didn't have these weapons we worked so hard to obtain... Edit3: people who agree with Bungie saying this weapon is the main reason people are excluded from raids and that's why it needs to be Nerfed are idiots. First of all isn't that what bungie intended was for people to play with who they wanted and how they wanted? Furthermore the easiest way to fix that issue is for Bungie to add optional matchmaking like they were supposed to from the start. Also you think this Nerf is not gonna exclude people. Lemme tell you when I go looking for a team I exclude based on Grimmoire not weapons but hey even after this Nerf I will do the same thing so people will still get excluded. like I said this isn't going to balance shite. and it's not being an elitist when I would rather play with someone around the same level of experience as me than someone who just got the game a week ago and has already a lvl 34 character because bungie caters to scrubs like you who all you do is wine and complain why others like me won't let you play with us when it's clear you lack the weapons or the gear. Edit4: people who are bashing me for excluding using grimmoire. The reason I do this is because grimmoire to me is a baseline for experience. whenever I play a raid I know the chances of someone with 3000+ grimmoire score knowing what to do in a raid is higher than someone with less than that. I would rather take my chances on someone with high grim and assume they know what they're doing than go into a raid with someone with low grim and have to explain everything to do in a raid. of course it's not 100 percent effective but it's worked pretty well for me so far. Also when you get 9 responses from people who want to raid exclusion is going to happen regardless as you can only go into a raid with 6 people so stop trying to bash on me for something so small. • Gjallarhorn is a regular exotic. It's not a bounty exotic or raid exotic, just a normal one like Hard Light or Plan C. If the other exotics aren't absurdly more powerful than the best legendaries of the same class, then why is Gjallarhorn? When some random schmuck can earn it from going 0-10 in crucible, it doesn't deserve to be as powerful as it currently is. I wouldn't mind Necrochasm, Vex or the PoE exotics being ridiculous, but Gjallarhorn is way out of line with the other exotics.

Congratulations.

    • As a fellow day one player, I can tell you that the nerf is, in fact, warranted. They are nerfing it because it is doing to much damage, even for an exotic. With wolfpack, each rocket does about 2 rockets worth of damage, with 7 rockets total, that equals out to about 14 rockets worth of damage, way more than any other in the game, even other exotic rockets. I expect the nerf to wolfpack to be about 10%-50%, which will still allow for it to do more damage than other exotics, but not enough to simply burn bosses (example: Broken Legion and Quodron Bosses have mechanics that are essentially skipped with gjallahorn) with the weapon. This will somewhat allow them to dial back on the bullet sponges and add actual mechanics to the fight, like with the POE bosses.

      • I like the nerf because it is boring to always see people with gjallarhorn, gjallarhorn is probably my most kills exotic and i would like people to try new heavies

        • Most of the people that I play with all have at least one Gjallarhorn. That being said, I do not have a single problem playing with someone that doesn't have it. The few that have cried all over the forum about not having it are part of the problem. While the damage that the wolf pack rounds could use a little nerf (Please god don't make what happened to the Suros happen here), it is NOT a necessary weapon to beat the endgame content. I was doing crota on hard with my Truth until I finally got my first Gjallarhorn. Yes it is an exotic, and the story behind it should make it seem to be the most powerful rocket launcher in the game. I mean come on, it was made from the armor of fallen guardians at the Twilight Gap battle with the fallen! Unfortunately what Bungie is doing is creating more elitism within the community because those that don't have it are still going to be excluded. It will do less damage, so instead of having two Gjallarhorns, they will want three in the group to make up for damage reduction. The problem is that the bosses that it can "melt" as other posters have stated, are nothing more than bullet sponges and people don't want to spend a lot of time fighting them. Hence the Gjallarhorn method for killing the bosses in the game. This week Omnigul took 9 Gjallarhorn rockets to kill in the nightfall. How about some actual mechanics for killing the bosses and the rest of the enemies? I don't discriminate when it comes to running end game material with people that don't have it. I have played the game enough to know how to beat the enemies with whatever is available, even if it takes a little longer to do. It just means that we have to work together to beat the mission, which is what the game should really be about, right?

        • Yes, but an exotic should by outclass other exotics, the Gjallarhorn shouldn't be any better than the Thunderlord, or Truth, or Dragons Breath.

            • Now, I've only got at 2855 (I think) but I'm a day 1, hour one player. Honestly, I'm indifferent. I completed all of the end game activities (haven't done 35poe) BEFORE I got my Gjallarhorn. Does it make the game easier? Sure, but it's not impossible. The first VoG run I did, nobody had anything better than my Exodus Plan, and that went just fine. And as far as Gjallarhorn being a badge of honor? Sure. But other than the people who were smart enough to buy it week 2, everybody else has gotten it through pure RNG luck. My gf's nine year old son has one. Anyway, I'll still help or play with anybody, with or without it, it'll just take a little longer.

Ya but it is kinda annoying having the noob players complain that they can't join raids because they don't have it. Also it's always sad to see you don't need skill, just a ghorn to beat crota

              • Im not mad im conserned that players feel that they arent important if they dont have a ghorn and to be honest i felt that bungie messed up by only selling it once. And the nerf is just their way of getting back at players for asking for only the ghorn for hard raids and the 35 poe. Its a righteous call on their side but they made it they can change it.

              • My grimoire is pretty low but I have done all the PvE content in the game and have all the exotics par the Dreg's promise. Why not just actually check if they have the gear and ask them if they know how to raid? That way you can kick them if they're lying but still play with players like me who have had the game from the start but don't have the time/ can't be bothered to collect ghosts and grind crucible wins (I hate the PvP in this game)
