Why do people use Thorn/TLW in normal crucible?
Seriously why? Why do you have to be so lame. I already have to put up with you in trials and iron banner. I really see no point in using these weapons in regular crucible.
Crucible is way less fun when 4/6 other players have thorn and the other 2 have TLW. Normal crucible is the time to have fun with legendary weapons, maybe even upgrading weapons in there.
You can still try-hard while using a different weapon guys. You would think using the same weapon every day would get boring.
Edit: There are some responses that I can live with. If it's fun then use it. But I would just think using the same weapon over and over would get boring.

I so so so so agree. I just don't get it. I love TLW. Absolutely love everything about it but limit myself to trials and rare matches where I really just can't help myself. Play normal crucible in iron banner week. Bliss.

Hip firing TLW is still one of the most fun things I do in a FPS. I love the look of it. Makes me feel all western and stuff. "Draw!" Pew Pew Pew... you're dead.

TLW is my baby I love that gun it's def the most fun weapon for me in cruicble (besides a sniper). I've gotten really good with it too. I only use thorn in trials because as op as it is I just hate how it sounds and how it looks and I don't really like how it handles

I used to feel this way but I'm refraining from using tlw or thorn in crucible. A skilled player is deadly with any weapon.

Cause I like it and its fun? I hardly see anyone with it honestly. I've just finished like 4 rounds of clash and saw it maybe once. I do think it's stupid to shoot them a few times and just run away while the burn kills them. I never just run away. I stay and shoot them until they die lol.

9 RepliesWhy are you so worried about what weapons other people use? They use them because they like them obviously. TLW hits like a truck..it feels like a heavy machine gun when you're getting peppered with it snd you can barely react if you get hit first. Thorn has amazing range and good rof..plus DoT shows you where enemies hide and you can pull off 2 headshot kills fairly easily...why wouldnt they use these weapons. Btw I use all sorts in normal and trials/ib. Variety is the spice of life. I love pulse rifles. When Im locking a good strafe down Im untouchable with red death..and I even really enjoy the skorris revenge. I love being too fast for blade dancers with the mida..and pissing off snipers with it..love it when their head bounces back while they try to readjust aim..especially the ones that use right stick to aim. I'll throw on last word in cqb oriented maps or thorn when they are being super campy and hugging cover... relax its a game..go have fun

Why force yourself to not play the meta? Yeah i can use my bad juju and have some fun..but at the end i'm not gonna be in the upper part if the food chain...

I use last word because it's fun to use because it requires you to rush with it to get the most out of it. I don't condone thorn users though...

They use them because its the only way they can get kills easily/defeat skilled players easily.

4 RepliesFor most people, losing isn't fun. Doubly so in an FPS community that is obsessed with K/D ratio. The problem is that Bungie broke all the weapons that used to keep these hand cannons in check. ...and its up to Bungie to realize that the AR damage nerf was a mistake, and to reverse it.
