Nightfall matchmaking yes or no?
I was just wondering if anyone besides me wants matchmaking to the nightfall because I only have 1 friend on Xbox so I would appreciate match making in the nightfall

I don't mine optional matchmaking but the only problem I see with matchmaking is people who decide to stay back and not help

No, because if you're doing it with a friend and a connection issue occurs and kicks them, they'll be replaced by someone you don't want

Yeah why not. I've done it and up to PoE 34 multiple times with LFG randoms who had no mic. Most of the time they at least joined the party to listen but not always. Even when people do have mics we tend to just play silently. Or if we are talking it's not really about anything game wise. Would prefer more strict afk prevention, somehow. Or some discouragement against it. The boot to orbit may help that though. My 2¢

I would like the option but to be honest i would never use it for fear that somebody stays AFK and not being able to kick him. Althoug i also like to solo nightfalls so maybe have that option too? ( im asking too much )

The fact that there isn't optional, holy shit let me repeat that: O P T I O N A L, matchmaking is a joke in the first place. Not me saying it, it's every single game critic. It's laziness on the devs part I'd love to see a couple boxes in OPTIONAL matchmaking -Mic? -Level X and up? Fancy things called "filters".........So tired of looking for a quick PoE run and i end up waiting 15 minutes or more. I DO have the "max ghorn" so i get accepted probably faster than others.

I voted no because there is no optional option. I have had too many AFKers in weekly heroics.

They won't. Simple reason is nightfall. A troll could just run ahead and die. Back to orbit and wasted your time.

2 RepliesWhy not? Nightfall has become a joke it's so easy. Weekly heroic is more of a challenge some weeks and that has Matchmaking.

No, I really only do nightfalls with other people when they ask me to. Otherwise, I'm better off going solo on nightfalls because randoms are more likely to hinder me rather than help me. Just saying.

No. LFG allows me to pick and choose who will competently join me in a Nightfall. Often times, you make a group and people want to join carrying unleveled weapons that don't match the burn. Make it optional and that's OK.

3 RepliesHell no I'm even tired of the weekly. you get paired up with someone that doesn't do shit and still gets the rewards so I wouldn't want the nightfall to be that way either.

Edited by flynner19: 6/25/2015 4:14:34 PMSince most players are relatively high skilled now - yes there should be matchmaking, no question. I did 3 runs today with 3 different lfg groups no problem. It just takes longer to get 2 other players especially as most on my friends list will do it on reset. It's not a problem on the weekly heroic so what's the big deal about adding it to the nightfall as well. In one group there was a 34,32 and 30 and still no problem. Please bungie allow us to access optional matchmaking!

I get it done to the boss on any stage in about 10 minutes, I post that I'm at the boss, 15 requests later I have a team and we kill the boss. There are a variety of reason both for and against MM in all the different modes. For the most part I don't want it. People drop because they don't see a certain class/weapon/armor being used. People kick because a friend gets on and wants a reward. People can't follow directions, give terrible directions, expect to be obeyed, expect to be carried, don't know what do do (but think they do). I have been lucky with nearly all the pick-up groups I've been in for raiding and PoE, but all these complaints are from people who are making a big effort to get a group together. I don't want to be exposed to this potential rage all the time. That said, optional MM is perfectly fine, I'm all for this. But Destiny has no game mode with this. MM is either on or off and I'd like to keep it as is over being forced.

I said no because I don't want it to be mandatory. If they made it optional, then I'd be fine with it.

2 RepliesNo. I wouldn't wanted to carried many Afk'er, inexperience about the modify, low level under the nightfall level requirement, rusher. If Bungie did add matchmaking to Nf then I'm done playing destiny.

For omnigul and Taniks yes. Others no. I soloed the nightfall three times this week, twice killing valid by camping behind the crates to the left and stun locking him with black hammer. once. by Gjallahorn. And, if you look at my profile, u can see I'm not the best player

I only say no because I don't want to carry people who don't deserve it. For example in weeklies I usually have between the other two kills and assists combined or double the other two kills and assist combined. Also the fact that most people in this game don't care about others and when you die they won't pick you up for 5 minutes when no enemy is even around you.
