If an arc blader takes 50% less damage, kills an enemy and doesn't Regen health, they have a higher chance of dying at their next target. This balances the blade dancer, making it optimal in 1v1s but a gamble in large groups. That is balanced, as my chances as a voidwalker are reduced when I throw a bomb at 3 people instead of 1. The 3 have a higher chance of killing me before it goes off.
But hungering blade? What the -blam!-.
You can kill one guy in a 1v1, retain full health, have a health buff, and go on to kill another, with no raised chance of being shut down, other than things like callouts, watching killfeed, etc. The moment you get 1 kill with a continuous super, the possibility of getting a second kill SHOULD go down.
How is it fair two people can shoot at a bladedancer, get to near death, only to have the bladedancer regain full health in a 1v1? This is a completely broken super ability in trials, and you can see it in how bungie nerfed the amount of orbs.
If you use hungering blade, you should NOT have a health buff.
If I'm incorrect anywhere here with my knowledge, please correct me. If you agree or disagree, let me know.

Blade dancers are killed easily, last night I killed a blade dancer from full health with a summoner

As a Void Walker you can split Nova Bomb into 3 and execute players en mas. this works really well when a whole group is taking a control point in crucible. The poor Blade Dancer has to chase down his/her victim (unless they are foolish enough to melee you while your super is active) and, for the second kill, hope the target doesn't run away AND that some super energy is left. This seems balanced to me.

3 RepliesEdited by Turtleman13: 6/17/2015 3:50:32 PMIt's easy to stop blade dancers. Me being one, the ways I have found that work on killing a blade dancer is: plan c or fel winter's sniper, and a punch; running away, and thorn. Demonstrated by prodigy, a Plan c burst and a punch kills him and if the blade dancer gets lucky, you. Shotguns work as well. Running away isn't cowardly, it means you can fight when he runs out of super. Thorn works really good because if they hit a blade dancer then they can't regenerate health when hungering blade is on. Edit: also another way is just to use any super. Golden gun kills a blade dancer in one hit, Blade dancer can two hit him, nova bomb is a easy way to just knock him down, you can self res when he runs out of energy or just throw grenades, fist of havoc with unstoppable will kill him and he can't kill you while doing it, and ward of dawn with armor of light with a shotgun can kill him if you shoot him then punch him.

Any really good shotgun, invective works if you want to devote the exotic slot. I have a 32 or higher of each class, hunter main, the titan is much more user friendly, Lock takes more preparation and is slower, still gets shields though. If you are having trouble dodging, spend as much time as high as possible, Hunters jump in general sucks. Fist of panic kills them instantly, if you're a lock you can also just throw two sticky grenades, blade dancer's weakness is that they have to come straight at you, they have No one hit kills other than their super, no shoulder charge, no warlock punch o'Doom, even if you hit someone with a throwing knife in the head it doesn't kill them. I have had enough experienced players fly away from blade dancing at them that I've been trying to switch back to gunslinger, GG can also be set to go through bubbles, a Striker is way better for pvp in any scenario besides control, and even then Fist of Panic can instead be aimed at a control point and blow up a bubble or 3 players easily. hope this helps.

I know, it'a almost as bad as having grenades that explode 5 times causing fatal damage each time... Blade dancer is not OP
-
oh, and shoulder charge/ lock revive 1 hit melee k.o's plus being able to panic super isnt? if you try maining a hunter for a while in pvp you might actually learn there are downsides too. By your logic sunsingers shouldnt have flamesheild activate at all when they are revived.

As if hunters wreb't op enough in PVP. Razors edge can go through the bubble.

3 RepliesFist of of havoc.

It's fine.

1 ReplyDisagree. It's easy to dodge a blade dancer super. The sound gives it away and a warlock and Titan just stay in the air and move a bit. Hunter blink right past the blade dancer, or triple jump forward back forward then repeat with some trip mine throwing. If they kill you, it's on you.
-
I guess since I play as a bladedancer I can anticipate their attacks the moment I hear the sound. Wait until they come in close and shotgun or fusion rifle fire. I literally almost ALWAYS am the one to shut them down. Always be retreating and jumping would be my only advice!

2 RepliesEdited by Alyseh: 6/15/2015 1:21:49 AMSeems op but if you take damage it stops.

2 RepliesHungering blade works like any other regen. As soon as you take damage it stops. So unless it IS 1v1 then they're unlikely to get back to full health. Unless you're missing a lot of shots.

2 RepliesWow I'm surprised this isn't spammed by Blade-dancers but I never had a problem with hungering blade. But I agree with you about the whole health regen on a blade-dancer in PVP is a bit unbalanced but each class kind of has a cheese perk (Titan with unstoppable or whatever gives you more damage reduction during super)
