This forum seems to be littered with posts of ESO, either people hating it hard or people praising it. I have not purchased it yet and this will be my deciding factor. Skyrim is my favorite game of all time followed by Oblivion and Morrowind.
I'm leaving the decision up to your opinion and this will be the place for undecided players to see if they should get it! All feedback is helpful!
Well after seeing this, it is clear what the consensus is and I will be getting it later today!

Dragons Guild Hey, we are looking for people to join our guild, we are looking to build our guild to be able to make money, play campaigns, become emperors. We will be bidding on a trader now that we are 50 members strong. I myself and the 3 in the guild council are very much into this game, veterans of mmos, we are going to build an army and put the other guilds on notice. We like to have fun, I will be setting up daily campaign for the guild. We are also on destiny where our clan Money Drugs Murder is 400+ members. Anyone who wants to join can, you may invite your friends. If you are someone who is very seriously into this game and want to join but also be apart of our leadership to help guide the guild toward greatness join and then message me on the xbox one. Carterboys1202 Have a great day and enjoy gaming.

7 RepliesI'm level 14 right now and the game has been great so far! Tonight, I ran into a group of 25 or so chill people in the 100 v 100 PvP that all banded together with me and made guild, then we proceeded to take over a 2 outposts and a castle. The PvE side is also great. You can actually do well against enemies that outlevel you by 3 or 4 if you are skilled enough, unlike Destiny where you are useless if you are 2 or more levels below. I honestly could not recommend this game more! It has a great community and is a ton of fun to play with friends. If you are on the fence about buying this, just do it. You won't regret it!

6 RepliesIt reminds me more of morrowind than skyrim

15 RepliesEdited by Lander: 6/14/2015 1:39:10 PMIt can just get so damn tedious! The world is chock-full of inconsequential, long-winded quests that you just have to drag yourself through to try and get to the few interesting quests, and you don't feel like a badass for doing any of them, since 5 other dudes are doing them with you at the same time :L It reminds me of... Like... A dinner queue. Or a conveyer-belt. You'll see other players getting their fill of a quest from the provider, and then you'll see them again later at another stage/ station of the quest, and then you'll see them in the distance taking down the boss, and then you reach the boss and wait for him to respawn, and then on your way back you'll run into another dude about to go and get a plate-full of whatever you just had to chew on, a few seconds before... Just feels bizarre to me :L it feels like I'm just working on game completion (along with everyone else) even though I'm desperately trying to get immersed here -.- The 'Skyrim' comparison: Skyrim = Quality ESO = Quantity Which is okay I suppose but that's not what TES games are about for me. Zenimax just got something wrong here, something got lost in translation and I can't put my finger on what it is

I wrote this game off my list knowing that it wasn't made by the same group that makes the single player ES games and really didn't have any interest after hearing about the PC launch but I watched prob 5 mins of it on twitch and I knew I would have hated myself if I didn't pick it up. Only reason being is b/c 3 of my favorite games have been morrowind, oblivion and Skyrim and this is just another game in the same world that I have grown to love even though it's not by the same developers. It still feels so much like an ES game which is amazing and it is not like the others in any main way and it still plays and feels like it's own game yet still remaining true to ES foundations so it just surprised the hell out of me. I highly recommend it for ES lovers. It's great and it's also very fun to party up with friends. Ends up becoming much more fun. The one downfall is the mega server but if you can get over that fact then you will have a blast with the game.

Edited by WILLtheKILLA5: 6/14/2015 4:13:10 PMThe only reason I would get it is if my friends started begging me to get it, but they are enjoying Destiny so I doubt it. Also WoW so much better in terms of lore and such.

10 RepliesIt is an MMO first and foremost, do not go in with the mentality of it being like elder scrolls. It is a great game so long as you dont come in with the wrong idea, most of those that hate the game are those who thing it was suppose to be elder scrolls but with multiple areas and other players running around, that is the wrong idea. It is an MMO, it has some elder scrolls aspects like look and lore, but it should he compared to other MMOs.

2 RepliesIf you like the other games then yeah.

People should make up their own minds & stop trusting strangers who don't know their tastes or preferences.

I've played it on PC since the beta weekends and got the account copy to my console. It's not the best game i've ever played but I enjoy it.
-
If you enjoy Morrowind and Oblivion, you'll enjoy ESO. Gameplay is like Oblivion but with a Skyrim UI and some new mechanics.
-
Not Skyrim not at all. Yes buy it.
