Thorn Counter weapons?
What weapon do you use to counter the thorn?
Let's end the thorn reign, tell us what/how you have successfully countered the thorn...
I strongly believe there is nothing this forum and its guardians can not overcome..
Let's prove it!
[spoiler]I use the Mida, and juke technique, you still have to pick you battles, but its very effective[/spoiler]
Edit: So far the red death is winning, but there are a lot of good suggestions, for anyone struggling with thorn users..
Are there any thorn users out there, willing to admit what weapons are causing you strife...(The spirit of battle still exists, Ty to all thorn users that replied)
Edit: The theme with most of the weapons so far is high rate of fire, high impact...or red death...
I really hope something on this post helps you come up with tactics to deffend yourself against the thorn, it is possible!

I think we all can agree that the "send it" needs to be removed...you just should not be able to snipe from across the map with it...
The thorn is somewhat challenging to get, I don't want to see it nerfed to oblivion...
But it is becoming a crutch for some guardians, and headache for others...
This post is quickly proving that it is possible to counter the Thorn (as is), as with anything you have to use your head...
Omg this is off point but I just got "The Birth of History" ship from IB, I've been grinding for this more than anyone has for the ghorn...
I feel like if you try to help others, you will always be rewarded in life!

I can out kill anyone with my strangers rifle. It has faster time to kill then red death and thorn. Also it's more forgiving and can still win gun battles if you miss a singe headshot. You miss one headshot on me with thorn and you won't kill me in 1v1 gun battles. You will only get post mordom kills if you can hit the 2 headshots. Red death may have more impact vs Strangers Rifle but much slower rate of fire. You will see me using Red Death during ToO and Iron banner, but that's the only time I use it. I hear so many people who complain about nerfs but yet no one seems to realize that Strangers Rifle is more OP then Thorn and TLW.

2 RepliesThorn. I hate thorn but its OP IMO. The rate of fire and auto assist aiming is off the hook compared to other guns. Since I've been using it, I've notice other players scattering more as they get hit. I prefer Hawkmoon but as long as Thorn is what it is, I'll use it as well. My hope is that if everyone is using Thorn, Bungie will have to address it by buffing Auto Rifles and Scout rifles or nerfing Thorn in some way to balance it compared to the other weapons.
