Thorn Counter weapons?
What weapon do you use to counter the thorn?
Let's end the thorn reign, tell us what/how you have successfully countered the thorn...
I strongly believe there is nothing this forum and its guardians can not overcome..
Let's prove it!
[spoiler]I use the Mida, and juke technique, you still have to pick you battles, but its very effective[/spoiler]
Edit: So far the red death is winning, but there are a lot of good suggestions, for anyone struggling with thorn users..
Are there any thorn users out there, willing to admit what weapons are causing you strife...(The spirit of battle still exists, Ty to all thorn users that replied)
Edit: The theme with most of the weapons so far is high rate of fire, high impact...or red death...
I really hope something on this post helps you come up with tactics to deffend yourself against the thorn, it is possible!

I think we all can agree that the "send it" needs to be removed...you just should not be able to snipe from across the map with it...
The thorn is somewhat challenging to get, I don't want to see it nerfed to oblivion...
But it is becoming a crutch for some guardians, and headache for others...
This post is quickly proving that it is possible to counter the Thorn (as is), as with anything you have to use your head...
Omg this is off point but I just got "The Birth of History" ship from IB, I've been grinding for this more than anyone has for the ghorn...
I feel like if you try to help others, you will always be rewarded in life!

Every weapon counters my Thorn because any weapon has the capability to counter it

1 ReplyI use hawkmoon to counter thorn I stay back and use the range. Also thorn kicks high and right so when you strafe to avoid shots strafe to your right. It takes them more time to adjust for their next shot

I re-rolled it to have Zen Moment, Small Bore, and Counterbalance. The thing is awesome, and what I'll be going back to when I wanna use my Invective (which I actually just got a little while ago) or if I just wanna use something else. With its accuracy and impact, I'm able to out-duel Thorns pretty regularly. :)

Red Death should be a good counter for Thorn.

9 RepliesRed death is the hard counter to thorn. It's also a 2 shot headshot and it heals you so you don't die from the burn.

My Time on Target does pretty well against them. Putting rounds into head while strafing and they will not get a second head shot into you and most likely miss a third body shot.

Why did I try to counter a thorn with a scout rifle... WHILE I was 9/10 on that kill 10 guys in iron banana So SO depressing -face palm-

I prefer perfect balance to Send it. But I have won against Thorn with Vex and Bad Juju regularly
