I HAVE A QUESTION FOR ALL THE ABOVE AVERAGE TO ELITE PVP'RS
I was wondering if you would ever play with someone of my caliber in any pvp format (not just trials)?
Not to boost or to carry or to take me to the lighthouse, but to teach, mentor, enlighten in the thing that is pvp...i have some skill i just gotta learn how to die less...lol
I give much respect to all of you true pvp'rs out there and i wanna join your club....
So in closing thanks for reading this and if you offer help awesome if not good hunting to you just the same.

Just wan to add this foot note, my son plays my warlock alot so just in case he sends invite. I am grown man....didn't want to lose any help cause you thought me a squeaker...lol

A good place to start, is radar attention. I suggest playing regular control. Now all enemy teams, both mic'd and randoms, play each map in a pattern. Use the radar to learn which paths most take. People will often run in similar directions depending on where they spawn. Learn these patterns and then by watching radar get in the practice of flanking as much as you can. In this type of pvp, with so many insta kind of kills you need to put yourself in the position to see your enemies before they see you. And ultimately just play. If the match is a for sure loss, don't go to orbit, stay and practice.. Besides bounties can still be completed with loss, other than 3 wins of course. Good hunting Guardian!

Edited by ThanatosTheHound: 6/4/2015 11:31:29 PMIm good at PvP but I'm no elite MLG pro caliber player and most people aren't… That being said I would like to just state the obvious …It may be a game but if you try not to do a lot of things you wouldn't do in a real life war zone for example [b]walking[/b] out into the open or engaging multiple persons with half loaded mags your K/D would get a lot better …..my rules of engagement: 1)Always reload after a kill or multiple kills use cover before doing so if possible 2)Always give yourself time to regen your health/shield/armor after a fire fight…being to anxious will get you killed 3)Move quickly!!!!!Run whenever possible 4)When on the move always stick to the edges of maps or buildings 5) when on the move always check windows and rooftops for possible campers … 6)When stationary always crouch or go prone (makes you a smaller target and harder to hit and in the special case of destiny crouching also takes you off the mini map) 7)When engaged in an fire fight in the open always strafe around !!! Lots of people stop moving for some reason when engaged so strafe because it makes you harder to hit ..most people aren't very coordinated 8)Always fire from cover when possible 9) Always be aware of the mini map and HuD unless your playing Hardcore 10)Dont engage in fire fights you can't win…example you go to an objective and are alone and four hostiles are on the point…you have no explosives and 12 rounds in your AR…even if you manage to get one maybe two kills if your good you will still die….Streak over If you try to do these things i think it may make your PvP life a little easier

I'm around 1.8 KD on clash, 1.6 elsewhere. I'd happily play with anyone who's nice, seems it's so hard to find people on ps3 though.

You ask if we play with people not as good as us? Yes I do cuz most of my friends list is of my friends. Most are just ok at PVP but it's still fun

Remember, whenever your crouching the enemy cannot see you on your radar. I recommend a shotgun and a good hand cannon. Just keep moving use your shotgun in close combat, but favor your hand cannon in range.

4 RepliesThe biggest thing I see and have seen through years of fps is that people don't use cover. You need to realize when you're going to lose a gun fight and retreat. And even then, I've seen people who retreat, and are still red bar health when they pop back out and inevitably get domed. Just my 2 cents

I highly reccomended the last word also It is full auto if you hold the trigger a lot of people don't realize this at first... I know I was one of them. But like others have said if you are losing a gun fight hide behind cover and don't come back out until your health is back up. I occasionally like to use the play style of blinking past some one turning 180 and shotguning them to the face its kind of fun to get into the heat of battle

Attack from angles don't face a thorn or a last word head on or any powerful gun for that matter straiff don't be an easy target practice your strafing know when to retreat and pick your battles

In trials you succeed if you are more craven than your opponent and use clutch guns. This ruins normal PvP imo as more and more people just don't do anything. 'Oh i could get killed, i have to watch my precious k/d' They should change something about trials so you have to be more offensive. Invisible walls constantly sliding through the map from each side towards the center? Would make it more skill based as you have to draw faster and fire with nore precision than your enemy to get the kill. Not just wait longer, invisible with your onehit sniper The only fun i get at normal pvp is whipping those craven people's asses with my necrochasm. Scream when you explode. Thanks.

Haha I'm on xbox one. My stats may not show greatness but I consider myself to be very good. I am a team oriented player. I will always snipe if needed (my forte) or blink shotgun if asked. Always will fight for the revive. I know the maps very well. Use great weapons for trials but mess around with guns like hard light for regular pvp. I love this game I play it a lot. Gt is same as above hmu if your on Xbox one
